What are your favorite tires for 18 inch rims? I've researched a bunch, and I have a good idea what I want, but I would love your input as well.

    Thanks!

My favorite is the Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac. It’s always seemed to balance on/off road well for me.

I have not but I know they are very popular. I am currently running Sumitomos since that is what came with the truck when I bought it. They are brand new so it’s hard to justify upgrading them right now

I understand. I still have the stock tires right now, but I'm close to upgrading.

I just put on the Cooper AT3-4S. So far, so good. But I like coopers. The 4S are meant for 4 seasons and more of a "highway all-terrain" if you know what I mean. I drive mostly street, maybe a bit off-road.

If you have already searched, narrowed down your selection, why not post a This vs That thread or poll?

What are you using them for: city driving, country roads, off road, winter weather, off road, all season, swap for winter?

As for me, Falken Wildpeak AT3/W, but I haven't had them long.

The Toyo Open Country AT3s are getting great reviews. I am running them on the GX. 6000 miles and I’m impressed so far.

It took more than I thought it would. Just get a vasectomy and don't waste your money anymore.

Seriously, not knowing your intended use, Michelin Defenders are my hands down favorite. Smooth ride, low road noise and the best tires for sand I've ever had. The LT version has a 50K mile warranty, but I've got about 65K on my current set and other than scrubbing from turns on the front they're as good as new. The rears have no noticeable wear. P size have a 90K mile warranty. We don't get much snow here but the last one we had they did fine. Good on wet roads too. @Pudge can second.

Michelin Defender LTX (e-rated) here. Been on the Michelins for 15 years plus starting with the MS and then the MS2 and now the Defender which are all the same tires in progression over the years. Long lasting and do well in Sand/Snow/Tow/Haul. Super quiet and balanced.

The majority is going to be highway driving. I'll be on the occasional camping trip on the weekends. I do get snow and ice in the winter as well.

I run 37 inch Nitto Trail Grapplers. Great tires, very quiet on the road and monsters offroad.

As for rubbers - Well, they all suck and I prefer not to use them. :D

    I went this route.
I didnt trust any other brand and didnt want any jeeps or F150s running around creating more half breeds.

Had to go with the magnums because, well, I have a black truck

I am looking for tires now and cant make up my mind.

I like goodyear Dura but the noise and they arent that great in rain after about 30,000
Toyo AT III are on the list but I need some aggressive sidewalls due to deep snow and mud I find myself in the winter and spring (Goodyear has them)

    Then grappler etc..

I keep reading new threads and you guys all need to pick a tire so I can just follow the herd (I am that lazy)

Had to have something with the 3 Peak rating for snow/ice so the Wild Peak AT3 is what I'm running now on 20s. I had BFG TA KO2s prior to that, and Nitto Terra Grapplers prior to that, both on 18s. I hear the Michelin LTX are outstanding too, but I wanted a tire with a more aggressive look.

Had Wildpeaks for 3 years on my Tacoma and loved them. My dad has Toyo AT3’s and likes them. I currently have Duratracs and enjoy them too. Wildpeaks were my favorite tire so far but the duratracs are doing very well too.

    I prefer the Xl's though.

...back to the tire, I like the Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT.

FYI. Cooper is having a recall on several of their tires manufactured in 18/19 including some Discoverers.

I just put on the same tires. I like them a lot. Do everything I need them to do. Should be able to handle whatever I throw at them.

I've had Wildpeak A/T3Ws for a few years and have only really had one issue with them, which is deep mud; but alas, they are not a mud tire.

I've had them in P265/70/17 and LT255/80/17 on my 4Runner, and currently in LT285/75/18 on the Tundra and P265/70/17 on the GF's Tacoma. They have been a quiet, well wearing tire that has gotten through long road trips, thousands of miles of off-pavement travel, snow, rain, rocks, mud, etc.

One of the big selling points on them for me was that they are triple mountain snowflake rated.

I put on the Cooper AT3's, don't know what to compare them to, but very happy so far. They did very well in the Texas Snowpocalypse.

Prolly not. I think it doesn't concern the Amor Tek3 ply sidewall tires. You need to contact Cooper.
