Finally got my truck back from a rear main seal fix so decided to knock out the 3rd taillight replacement from Evil Manufacturing. This thing is badass. It is heavy duty quality with a thick rubber tube gasket all the way around so I don't expect any leaks. After several cheap lame (leaky) lighting choices, I went for the best (and most expensive).

@Baja Designs lighting is on point, as usual, and I hooked it up to a remote so I can use them without a switch. Didn't wanna mess with another switch installation!

If drilling into your cab makes you queasy you'll steer clear of this product lol. It requires (4) 19/56" holes and nutserts so you'll need one of those tools too. This actually appeals to me as I am tired of messing with the little 10mm nuts holding the shabby housings of the stock style lights. I used some clear automotive RTV around the nutserts for additional leak protection.

    Here's the remote.

If you're interested in purchasing one get ready to fork out some cash. They have an amber option for lighting and an optional antenna mount.

I'm not very good at write-ups so I hope this comes out ok. I'm usually caught up in the labor and under the gun as the 2 year old nap schedule is all I have time-wise. Wasn't expecting to do one but I had the pics so here y'all go. I ain't trying to sell this thing - I'm just providing my own personal feedback.

Baja design lights aren’t cheap. But they are great. You gotta pay to play.

You have to cut if you get the 3rd Baja light with the Evil Mfg. mount is what I was talking about. You have the 2 light version and they offer a 3 light version but you have to call directly to them to order it last I checked.

i thought the bracket would come with "3" red lights as posted on their website. Did they change the design?

Don't know why anyone would need 3 of them as the two S2s are plenty bright as is lol I did see them offer a 3 light option for Dodge but was unaware it was available for our trucks.

    Not sure at this point.
So if you're running this set up and wanting to utilize the switch panel to turn on the lights, would we have to run the wiring harness out to the engine bay?

Well yeah because you need a dedicated power source. I didn't have to set up a switch though because I use a remote

I’m waiting for my s2’s to come in for my install. But yea, I’ll be running the additional harness from the s2’s to my switch pro. Basically it’s a splitter then long harness.

Well either way you're pulling off your headliner too huh? Run from the 3rd brake light down to driver side and into firewall?

I’m going to try and not pull the headliner but we’ll see lol. Basically run it across the back then down driver side all the way to the engine bay

But also thought about removing the headliner since I got the nmo antenna wiring. Maybe hide that wire in the sun glass holder I dunno yet. Figure it out when the rest of the parts come lol

    This.

The harness runs along the back headliner down the pillar, along the sills up through the firewall grommet and to your battery/accessory fuse block.

What is the remote activating? Not sure if remote came with third brake light kit or it’s a universal remote switch? I’d like some info on it.

Nothing fancy but the only reason I had to replace one is because it got wet over time:
