Hey Murf which one of the coachbuilder carrier bearing drop kit did you install to correct the vibration on rear axle after you installed the ReadyLift 2 plus 2” lift kit. 0”-2” or 3”-5” ?? which one should I order. Is it based on the 2” before lift or the +2” After ReadyLift install. Maybe david@coachbuilder.com will chime in for his recommendations.

I went with the 0-2” because it was only a 2” lift in the back.

Thank You, I got a quick response from David a Coachbuilder and recommend the 0-2” .75 kit as well.

I just installed the Coachbuilder carrier bearing drop spacer to correct the shutter and vibration from rear axle/ drive shaft. The .75 spacer made all the difference and I installed it with zero issues. David at Coachbuilder shipped it out same day and with a great price of $20.25 total. Now looking to fix front end vibrations which run up the steering column when running over baby bumps on the road. I didn’t have this issue with stock UCA. I would recommend the carrier bearing drop kit spacers with the ReadyLift SST 2” +2 lift kit. I will post solution the vibration in front end when I find it. Hopefully someone might chime in?

How has the pro plus 2 treated you so far? Thinking about doing that or the CB but have a hard time justifying 1k for 1” of lift with the cb.....I’m now torn between leaving stock with the trd pro suspension and bigger tires vs the readylift pro plus 2

Great so far. The only part of the kit I used was the front. I have a 1.5” shackle and a 1” block for the rear. For me it’s the perfect height and look.

good info on this thread...just backed out of the Plus 4 setup and opted for this one instead...gonna do the 305/70s as well...seems like a perfect height and not too big of a wheel...

I really like your setup! Thanks for sharing the pics. Best I can tell...you have good clearance on your UCAs. Are you running any type of spacer in these pics? Tires are 285/65s or 295/70s? It was hard for me to tell in the pics. Do the UCAs with the kit help with clearance at all or about the same? I'm a noob here but I've had Tundras since '07 and bought a 2021 Pro last year. It's time to give it a better stance. I'm not overly thrilled about running spacers is why I'm asking. Thanks!

I’m running 295/70/18 with Borra 1.25 spacers. My stance improved and looks better. I think borra 1.50 spacers would give you a wider stance if your ok with the wheels sticking out more.

I just ordered the ready lift 2+2 for my 19 pro and the instructions say you need to notch the lower control arm for the strut pocket. Wondering if anyone could get a picture of it to get an idea how much needs to be cut back.

I took this picture real quick last night so it’s kind of blurry but that is what it looks like factory. Those control arms are pretty pricy and don’t want anything to bind up if I don’t take enough off. And taking to much off and compromising the structure of it.

I don’t have any pictures of those. I got in there to instal the lift and found a promenade fox strut spring and they are on back order for the drivers side which is what broke.

I'm thinking of getting this lift and wondered if anyone knew why the TRD Pro version uses a replacement top hat and not a strut extender? Isn't changing the top hat the same as changing the pre-load? I like this lift because it comes with a diff drop to keep the drive shaft angles close to stock, but don't love the idea of changing the spring compression. Thanks.

It's not a pre-load the silver top hat is the two inches of lift so it should be the same spring rate. He ride quality stayed the same after lift. Been running it for about two years now.

I know the top hat pushes the spring down to create the lift, but it doesn't push the shock down. The shock still sits in the factory position. Thus, the spring sits lower than the shock (pre-load) and would lose the down travel equal to the height of the top hat, right? or am I missing something. I also noticed that the equivalent lift for a non-TRD Pro truck uses a strut extender which pushed the entire assembly down, thus not affecting travel.

I wonder why the PRO version uses a different mechanism to create lift? All I can think is that the PRO model already has more travel than stock, and they do not want damage to the ball joints, so they use the shock to limit downward travel?

I went ahead and installed the TRD Pro ReadyLift +2. I'm super happy with the look. I have KO2s on the stock rim, 275/70R18. I think the size looks fine, maybe a touch small, but overall looks great. The ride quality of the truck is the same. I did notice that I lost some steering, I can't turn as tightly as I could before, but it's pretty minor. I've also noticed some creaking when turning hard and driving over and uneven surface. I hope that will go away with time once everything wears in, in the new position.

I drove around some Forestry Service roads near Denver and it did great.

I measured my droop before and after, as feared I lost about 1.3" of droop (downward articulation). Certainly not ideal, but so far I haven't noticed. Pics Below:

Looks good, 285/70/18 KO2 or even better 295/70/18 KO2 blackout for the next set.
First Picture is with 285/70/18 KO2 & Second picture is with 295/70/18 Nitto RG.

I would like to move up to a 285/70R18, but A) I just bought my current set of tires 5k miles ago and B) I worry about the hit I'd take to fuel economy and torque. I tow a trailer in the mountains and don't want to lose any more power than I have to.

That being said, your 285s and 295s look great. Have you had any rubbing? I know with the 295s on stock the worry is that inside of the tire rubs on the UCAs or the sway bar. Have you had any signs of that happening with the ReadyLift UCAs?

I have no rubbing after I removed the small mud flap up front. I didn’t see any power loss with either tire size. Gas mileage is no difference but I don’t really do any towing to give you that feed back.
