Will do. Got new bumpers coming so the approach/departure angles will need to be thoroughly tested.

I myself am waiting on a new rear bumper to assist with the same thing! I am excited to see your new rear bumper, have never seen one like that built for the 2nd/3rd gen.

hopefully catch you out on the trails soon Cruz!

Hey Colin, my Victory gas tank skid is in transit, should arrive next week. Your buddy still interested in my RCI skid?

The Trailtoys HC rear bumper is actually built specifically for the 2nd gen. The owner of the shop doesn't think it'll fit a 3rd gen (only because he's never tried it) but I think it will. It uses the same frame bolt holes, it hugs the line right below the tailgate, and then requires a straight chop of the fenders in order to bolt the wings to the preexisting holes on the side of the frame. :fingerscrossed:

38 gallon. I don't like it because it just uses the gas tank strap from an offroad package Tundra. It doesn't mount to the frame like the old RCI skid used to. I worry that one day the tank will burst going over the wrong obstacle. At Hollister I went up a waterfall and the fuel tank was the only thing I was concerned about.

I should be getting my Deaver U748 leaf springs soon, which means my Deaver V062 will be available for sale locally. Deaver no longer makes the V062. It's an 11 leaf light load pack for 2007+ Tundras that give you 2" of lift (which requires an aftermarket shackle) is super flexible, and smoothens out the ride. If you don't have a bed rack and don't haul around more than 400lbs in the bed then these would be a good fit. I'm over the weight limit so the truck sags a little. $200

Hello from Sacramento (Orangevale to be exact). Just picked up a 2016 limited crewmax a few days ago and am loving it. I have a long list of upgrades I want to do as money allows. Happy just to have it for now.

I bought my tonneau cover from Mobile Living in Concord. Price was decent and customer service was good. (This was ~4 years ago). There is also Campway in Martinez. Have not bought anything from them but prices are comparable and they sometimes have camper shells in stock.

Sorry to hear brother! Have my new Tundra for about 6 months now and it barely has 1900 miles on it and I too had a tire issue. Had a lag screw on one of my rear tires. Paid $220 for a new one. This was about a month ago too

Hey CA folks. I have two SF Bay Area questions for you.

    1) Is there a local indy shop that you would recommend to do a full transmission/diff service on my 2007? I'm going to be driving across the country next week and I think it would be a good idea to get it done. Otherwise, Costco has a 15% discount at Concord Toyota, but that's still going to be higher than at an indy I imagine. I might also want to get better brake pads installed, these are not great in terms of stopping power.

    2) I can't post in the classifieds yet due to low post count, but I recently came across a set of 2021 TRD takeoffs and I upgraded my truck. I have a nice set of SR5 alloys and tires (they are listed on CL) and need to sell them in the next week or so if anyone is looking to upgrade your SR steels or want an extra set for snows, etc.

I have a great shop in Santa Cruz that I use but probably too far south for ya. Maybe @sr5shark knows a place closer to Concord.

My truck is (was) still fairly new (just hit 30K miles) so I have been using Concord Toyota with the 15% off Costco coupon. They have always done a good job and I like being able to wait for my service to be completed. I might save a little at a smaller/independent shop but the inconvenience of having to get a ride home after dropping my truck off and then getting a ride back to the shop is not worth the savings. (It's a Toyota and so far I have not had to deal with any lengthy/expensive repairs.)
