How do you like this mount? I was thinking of going with it as I like that it mounts lower on the dash...

The price is ridiculous but well worth it, its the best mount i've ever used. Buy once, cry once, seems to be the motto for all these purchases.

After a few weeks with this mount I encountered two things. Of course while driving and with the added pressure from my finger using the phone, the top portion of the mount plate would pull away from the dash about maybe 1/8 of an inch. You don't notice it until you look behind the holder. So I pulled it away even more and slid some 3M 300LSE tape that I got from Amazon. A sheet 4" x 8" cost $5.49. Problem solved.
The second issue I experienced, with your truck running, the holder's side clips are designed to open wide enough (automatically) when you hold your phone to it.....as seen in the Youtube video. Well this particular holder would not open up wide enough (sometimes) for me to insert the phone. It's an iphone 7Plus. I contacted the seller from Amazon and they were quick to offer a replacement. Evidently I was the first person to encounter this problem. This one works.

On another note I thought to mention that it's a wireless charger. Well I'm one of those that just got rid of his flip phone maybe 3 years ago. I was wondering why my iphone 7Plus wasn't charging. Simply put, that phone doesn't have the wireless charging capability :notsure:.

Anyway, I like it's positioning and if the holder continues to open wide enough for me to insert my phone, I'm ok with it, but for what I got....$$$.

Thanks for the picture and review on the Proclip phone holder setup as I was considering these.
If this setup lifts the trim or creates an excessive gap it would piss me off. Still on the fence and looking at the Hondo version as well.

Have been using it for a little over 9 months. Still really happy with it. It's such a solid setup that I've gotten over the gap. The Scosche mount is the only way to go (Scosche sells the ProClip/Scosche combo on their website).
