New to the forum from Colorado and coming out of a 13 Ram 1500. Im hoping to level my 21 crewmax with only replacing the front shocks probably with the billstein 6112's set to 1.9 but I was wondering how it rides with the stock trd offroad shocks in the back. Since its two different sets of shocks, is the truck pretty well balanced? Should I be looking a different set up for the front over the 6112"s? The truck will not see any crazy off roading (thats what the FZJ80 is for). Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I ran that setup for 5 years and 56,000 miles, until I sold my truck where I assume they are still going.

Drives fine. Big bumps are absorbed better by the front and the back bounces like a tobacco wagon, basically no improvement over stock (obviously). Front is a little stiffer over little cracks in the road and bridge crossings and stuff, but that is because the springs are compressed more.

Overall, I had no complaints and thought it was the best bang for my buck out there.

6112's are a great set up for our Tundras. They are a big improvement over factory and the TRD 4600 shocks. I love the ride and they absorbed just about everything. Some members here find the ride stiff, I am good with it. Unfortunately their on back order everywhere. There's a member here who's been looking for them and the 5160's for the rear. Good luck finding them:thumbsup:

That’s the set up I’m running. My rear is stock height. Ride seem fine to me.
