A bit spendy, but I couldn’t be happier with the Amp Research powersteps. Clean look when folded up. Just have to get used to the “clunk” sound when you first get in and close the door.8D5F877F-038F-4A7B-9F94-ACB7E3D72115.jpg

These look pretty slick. I went to their web site and was a little confused that they did not ask if it was an Extra Cab or a Crew Cab - big difference. Guess a phone call would clear that up.

I have no idea what brand that came with my truck and if not for the wife they would be in the scrap metal bin. They are great for storing dirt and mud in the perfect place to get on the back of your pants as you get out of the truck. To make it worse the pad on the drivers front side popped off and without knowing who made it finding a replacement has proven futile.

Why waste time sending them back? The next set will do the same thing. Mass produced items usually have crappy powdercoat. I had mine Line-X'ed after the coating turned to crap.

I actually like how these look! Surprisingly N-Fab covered the return shipping so I got a brand new set. Not bad and they honored their 5-year warranty.

When I asked they told me that I had to go through the vendor. The vendor wanted me to buy another set and then send the others back and pay for shipping. I told them to F off and I could get them Line-X'ed and it would be cheaper.

I have Iron Cross Patriots. Basically toyota stealth running boards that you can’t buy North East. I had them 1 1/2 years and wouldn’t hesitate to buy them again. Made in the States.

    Not nearly enough room here!
That's exactly why I need boards or at least full size bars. My Wife isn't short but "fun sized":D ( 4'10") and would have a tough time exiting with the stirrup-type models+ I've never had much use for the universal looking cab length bars or boards.0411191259[2566].jpg

I really like that "Old School" look of the wheels and the accented brake calipers. Good looking "Hot Rod" truck

I bought the Tygers shortly after I bought the truck back in Sept. of '20. No complaints at all. Installing those along with a DS grab handle made all the difference when getting in/out of the truck!IMG_1233.jpg

Mine are in the vein of the stock Toyota ones and are definitely affordable ($225 right now). I like how simple they are and that they sit close to the bottom of the cab. They were a one banana job to mount too. I'm not sure why mine came from Amazon with the "Magnus" markings...I'll probably remove that soon. They're short-girlfriend (5') and 6-year-old daughter approved though! Pics attached, to include one where the truck is clean so I feel less judged. Here's a link to them on sale now. https://www.autoanything.com/nerf-bars/aps-t-series-running-boardsIMG_1332.jpgIMG_1701.jpg

For those with the AMP Research power steps- do you recommend them ?

I get they are pricey - but wife prefers these and I'm all for something that stays tucked away when not needed.

Truck will be used on road only - worst it will see is dirt and gravel occasionally.

Any need to go to the XL on a Pro...its not like the truck has a high lift and I'm already looking at 1600 for these...XLs add 3" lower step and 600 to the ticket.

If not power steps - what else - the Predator steps are ok - but off road use I wouldn't have them (not that I'm off roading) and don't care to show off at the local Lowes parking lot with my "offroad" truck that has never seen anything buy pavement.

    Lots.
I really like the Toyota OEM "Drop Step" running boards I bought and installed on my Pro. They're light and low profile, and still look brand new 14 months after install.
