    Not sure at this point.
Are there any DIYers that have built a set of stairs to your second floor?

Have been watching a bunch of YouTube videos on how to build stairs and after getting some measurements, I believe I have my rise/run.

Some videos show by cutting a full 2x12 and some shows 2x8 with triangular cut outs.

If you’ve done either or, what’s the best way to approach this?

I have some experience, so at first I recomment to know the exact rise and run, then add the sizes to the calculator https://concalculator.com/stair-calculator/ (find the number of steps so rise to be no more than 7.75 in and run no less than 10 in). The best thing it will give you a stair plan with all the sizes. Hope this helps you.
