Nice! I have Hannemann hood/fenders on the Taco. Love the look of their stuff.

I cut out the support structure of the original hood and bonded it to the fiberglass hood so it uses the original hood latch. No pins.

That’s what I plan on doing to my Tacoma. The hood on my tundra is a wee bit out of shape (minor, but I see it) from an accident WAY before I owned the truck... I just said to hell with it and had them use the original hood for now.

Took a few more pictures today, as you can see the hood scoop is functional and the fiberglass is nice and thick.
No flex in the hood at all.
    Feels really good and strong.

Keep in mind that this is raw gel coat, no prep has been done to the hood yet.

After talking to a few people, thinking of doing an intake box to flow the air to the intake port, Like this or just to the top of the Supercharger

The trouble I see with that is our airbox pulls air from the bottom. The top half is beyond the filter.

I'm running the K&N CIA so works for me... you stock box peasants!o_O :rofl::rofl::rofl::bananadance::bananadance::bananadance:

Still should work though, just directing more cold air into the intake area it will still pick it up normally

I have 2 stock boxes, a K&N tube kit, and Airaid kit, and the box from a Volant kit. Hardly a peasant in the airbox section

The Volant box has a generously sized opening at the top. The K&N black tube kit fits through it but the filter is kinda big for the space. Forcing air in from above should alleviate that. I can add that to the list of parts that I need to get to you.

I can’t find one of those airaid tubes that use the factory box to save my life

Slick design on the hood. Its very nice and probably lighter than the OEM.

Yea the older one is still in production. 05-06 is rare. Discontinued a few years ago by the looks of it

@evilrb got any pics of what you did to attach the hinges? I have my hood pins but I was told to use weaker gas struts for the fiberglass. Also did you just bolt directly into the hinge? Any tips?

The hinges just install like factory, and I have Tein hood struts but never got around to putting them on.
My truck is kinda on the back burner with upgrades as I got 2 new toys I'm building currently.

    Hi guys!

So long-term update on this hood.

Basically, I never got around to painting it this whole time and it held up great!!!
Matched my white truck so I never saw the need.

Well, my truck was involved in a small fire back in July and I'm almost done getting her back on the road with a full paint job, 04 tranny, and a whole bunch of goodies including a second hood.

I'll make a whole new thread about my truck and the fire when I get her back.
I'm only waiting for my paint shop to let me know when to pick it up.

Here are a few pictures of the hood after the fire and the new one they made for me.

Love the guys over at Hannemann
