Imagine it. No internet. If it wasn t so serious, it would be so funny.

The internet comes with a lot of privacy and security issues, but the easy access to information makes it worth the risk. I can and do live without it for a few days at a time when camping or for short periods when the cable goes down in a storm. I am old enough to remember how to entertain myself without technology. We even have board games and books in the house. ;)

I worked for a machine shop a few years ago that kept all of their prints, and cnc programs on google drive. And they kept no backup. They totally relied on the internet, and the doors closed and everyone went home the few times their internet went down.

When I go to my deer lease, I have no tv reception, no phone reception, no internet, no running water and no electricity (except when I take a generator). It’s soooo nice to decompress and get away from it all. It’s amazing how life truly does slow down when you don’t have all the technology BS and you can actually think for a bit. I thoroughly enjoy it and look forward to it every time.
I understand it’s not for everyone but I believe more people would enjoy it if they gave it a try.

I have one of these. It's basically the internet in a pocket sized book.
