So I've been searching, searching, and searching through the forum for a new exhaust for my truck. I have it narrowed down to the dirty deeds 8" or 10" exhaust.

My question is. Do any of you tow with the 8"? I would only tow occasionally.

Also is there anyone on here that has an 8" or 10" in the Portland/vancouver area that's willing to let me hear the system in person?

I have the 10" DD system. I'm up in the Seattle area, so if you ever find yourself up this way let me know, I'd be glad to meet up for a ride along.

I tow a 4,000 lb TT with my 8" and no resonator. No issues at all.

You can hear it but its not obnoxious. Keith's systems sound good.....not like glass packs and crap like that.

With the resonator, even under tow, there is no drone. One of the main reasons (well there's really a lot of reasons), but one of the main reasons why we are so recommended... we eliminate the annoying drone.

With running the 8" and no resonator, I often at times hang around the low to mid 60's just to hear it rumble. :D I had a Flowmaster super 40 on my 2013 4.6. I have the 8" on my 2020. The DD system performs better, sounds cleaner, and a much cleaner looking install. My final score....Flowmaster :censored:, DD BA system :101010:

Here is a helpful guide that compares the various systems side by side.

Keith runs the 10" on his '13 Tundra that he tows a 10,000 lb desert trailer with 2 times a month with the entire family (a 1 1/2 yo baby too) long distances. He loves the 10" system, but the 8" system is our most popular system overall.

The 10" was designed for people that tow, now if you are towing a light load, short distance, and maybe don't mind the truck being a little louder under load, then the 8" would probably be fine, HOWEVER it is personal preference. *** But I personally tow a 4 horse trailer with an older diesel that my hubby cut the exhaust off, so I lean more towards a louder truck any day.

Nonetheless, we do have the sound warranty as a complete safeguard to ensure you get the perfect sound.

Lastly, I would also put this same question out to a Tundra group on Facebook near you. These forums are super great, but I do see more activity on the Facebook Groups.

Let me know if you have any questions, and please please feel free to call Keith Carty directly at 760-877-4234 to talk to him about each system. He can explain each system in such detail it is almost like you are driving the truck as he paints the picture for you.

    Thanks, Shawna
