I am thinking bout adding katzskin interior like in bout 3 years from this year and was wondering if adding the katzskin leather seating with the heated and cool seat would increase my resale value in anyway.

not really. anything you add to a vehicle adds very little to the resale value vs what you put into it. it's not a house that you're adding another bedroom to.

Most of the time, mods do not increase the value of the truck much if at all. It may make it more desirable and help you sell it faster, but I would not expect to get much if any return from it.

What about like those heavy duty bumpers? Again in 3 years. I’m planning to keep my tundra long term. I love the rock warrior Trd. Mine is 2012 crew cab.

If you sell it privately to someone looking for a truck that has certain big ticket mods already done, like lift, tires, bumpers, etc. you might get a little of your money back. ROI on any modification is very very low if anything.

if you want seat covers you should buy them for you... not for me. in a resale situation most add-on parts offer very little value.

I had a several mods on my fake Pro Tundra. The only one the dealer showed any interest in was the Katz and seat warmers. I got what I was asking for on the trade in and added $250 for the leather so not nearly enough to offset of the cost of doing it but a little something back.
I will say the seats were great and well worth the upgrade over cloth seats.

No. Nothing will give you better resale than getting it from the factory-- Limited and up.

I called katzskin and they use genuine leather. Don’t most ppl like leather over cloth? I might sell this truck later on but I know I’m going to keep it for 3 yrs at the most. Cloth seats are fine for me. I will also get the cooled option installed on the seat which is like 3k all together.

It’s your truck bro... but adding stuff won’t help you sell it. We keep a good resale for the most part...adding leather to increase your resale won’t work out in your favor. If you want leather add it now.

Not my truck as I still have payments lol. Not going to do any mods until I pay it off.

Are you planning on the bank taking it back or something? I get the sentiment behind "no mods if I don't own it" but if you're planning on driving it for the 5 years or however long you have the loan for, then why does it matter? If shit happens and the bank takes it back, the $800 you spent on the leather seat kit is probably the least of your worries.

:spam: Don't feed the troll guys .... this guy's post history is nothing other than questions about trade ins and upgrades that are fairly self explanatory and he seems to ignore the posts that answer these questions.
