I could really use your help here. My 2010 Tundra is my first Toyota. Boy I did not know what I was missing ... Anyway, I got this truck used down south and after only a few weeks I still am not sure just what the truck has or doesn't have. I have another post here about making an extra key and programing FOB's so I will not re-post hose questions. But I still have a few more.

    1) Is there a way to find out just what options were built into this truck. Maybe a way to read the vin number? I have the truck's book but everything is listed at " if Equipped". So this can be confusing to go look for something that may or may not be there.

    2) I have a CabMax. I am looking for the rear heat blower control to get more heat out of the center heat vents in back. I can feel warm air but there is nothing blowing.

    3) On the center of the dash there is the red Security light. It appears to be flashing a code. that looks to "22" where can I get information of this code, if indeed it is a error code of some sorts. I do not have a Check Engine Light on and there are no codes from the OBD II port.

    4) Cell Phone question(s): Is there a way to turn up the volume of the 'Command Voice" and my "recorded replies" (like callers names)? I programed the "Speed Dial" phone numbers but i can't figure out how to use them....

Thanks in advance for your help and willingness to help a New B. I should have gone to Toyota sooner....

    vin lookup
The owners manual has a dash diagram that will help determine what is flashing. Not sure about the other things.

Don’t know about the other things, but on my 2011 I just had to hit the speaker button on the steering wheel and say “Call John Smith” and it would dial it.

The VIN is what is the key here. As Newimproved says. The VIN will tell you everything you need to know. Except codes.

I did the vin lookup and found what my Tundra has .... Boy the book would be a lot smaller if you they took out all the stuff my truck doesn't have.

I still have no idea what the code is that the red security light is flashing. I have a OBD II reader but there are no codes there. If I were to guess at this point I would say if has something to do with the key(s).

I got one of those Orange Key Programmers with 2 keys and 2 fobs. I had to play with it a bit but was able to get the new keys to program, I then lost the use of key that I had to start with. When I programmed that key, I then lost the two new keys. From that point on the red light started to flash the code "22"

I never was able to get any of the fobs to program..:(

I am hoping to get Techstream working at some point and see if that will resolve anything.

    Any thoughts ....

Thanks to everyone for your input.

From TIS for a 2010 Tundra:
"When the theft deterrent system is in the disarmed state, the security indicator will flash continuously if the immobiliser system is set, or not illuminate if the immobiliser system is not set.
When the theft deterrent system is in the armed state, the immobiliser system is automatically set and the security indicator will flash continuously.
When the theft deterrent system is in the arming preparation state and alarm sounding state, the main body ECU causes the security indicator to be illuminated."

Thanks for the info. The point I am making is that the light does not flash at a steady consented rate. It flashes 2 time fast then a slight pause then 2 more fast flashes, .... then a log pause, then the cycle repeats. It never did that before I started playing with programing the keys.
( at least I never noticed it ..lol)
