Hey just joined today! I’m from Tuscaloosa Alabama and I have a 2011 Tundra SR5 Crew Max 4wd in white. I wish I was joining under better circumstances but she made me mad last night after finding way too much coolant in the oil  so I will be spending several hours today using your search feature for advice. Looking forward to getting to know y’all!

Welcome from CA (Central Alabama). Hoover specifically.

You're sure about coolant? And not just moisture from these cool temps? Did you make your "coolant in the oil" observation right after you had just driven the truck at least 20 minutes?

    :fingerscrossed:

Man that was my first thought. I’m a stickler on maintenance on all our vehicles. I do it all my self and all on schedule with the manufactures recommended intervals or some times even sooner. I know all the fluids and all the filters inside and out lol. I changed my oil about 2 weeks ago and there was a small amount of milky substance on the oil cap but none on the dipstick or in the oil when I drained it. So I chocked it up to the random cold weather we had and the fact that it’s only a 10 mile drive to work every morning. ( I do always let my vehicles run 5-10min before I drive them anyway, mostly because it drives my wife nuts but also I’m used to the extended high idle time on my small blocks) I assumed since the coolant was only a hair lower than it should be that it was just the pcv not having time to burn the excess moisture. However, we just brought the kids up to my parents in Moody yesterday for a visit and that’s a solid 80miles one way trip. So when we got home I popped the hood just for a quick look and instantly saw the coolant almost empty which is extremely odd for my truck. Popped the oil cap and it had an excessive amount of milky substance on the cap and in the filler tube. I then pulled the dipstick and it had a decent amount on it as well. It was cold and dark last night when we got home but I did try to shine a light down the filler tube but couldn’t see the internals well enough to make an assessment. I regularly check the gauges while driving and the motor did not get hot, there still was a small amount of coolant in the coolant tank so I’m hoping I caught it before any severe damage. I’m hoping it is the gasket failure and not warped or cracked heads/block. Needless to say it’s parked and I’m back in the ‘ole heavy Chevy 5.7. Hopefully be able to dig into it a little today and see what I find :fingerscrossed:
