So i tried searching but cant find the right info, Does my 2015 TRD Pro Tundra have a heated windshield? I got a crack on my windshield from a rock ding and it finally spread, was looking to fix this today if possible but the store I called asked me if it was heated and I had no idea

The windshield is not heated; that's what the defroster is for.

Do you have heated mirrors? It utilizes the same button, turn on your mirrors and windshield heats up too. You could also check Toyota.com/owner and input your VIN and that should show every option the truck came with from factory.

There's heated wires right where the wipers sit in some (all?) models. The defrost hits the windshield about 3-4" above the wipers. The wires come on when you turn on the heated mirrors

One thing I would change about Toyota. They no longer give you the full list of features. My 20 pro said no heated seats or leather steering wheel. Dealer also said no .... well guess what showed up . Pleasant surprise but man. List the entire vehicles Options

So, I have a 2014 SR5 XP without the cold weather package.

I recently had my windshield replaced and the new one came with a heating element. I asked him about it and the installer told me it was an option and Toyota had put it in almost all the Tundra's and now that is what's installed especially when you get a new windshield. I asked him its they all work and he could not answer that. So my old he took out also had the heating element. He did plug the new one in and I'm not sure if the old was or not but hoping to try it out this winter if we ever get any ice or snow.

So if most of the the Tundra's come prewired and have the heating element and they don't work, who here knows how to get it to work. Do we only need a switch?

Its posable all you need is the switch, but I am not 100% on that. IIRC if your truck does not have auto headlights, all you need is the sensor for the dash and the stalk with the auto option, so a switch for the heat in the windshield might be all you need if it is already wired.

It’s called “heated wiper park”. It’s to unfreeze the wipers from the glass so they can swipe. 9 out of 10 Tundras will come heated.

So is this tied only to a cold weather package? That's not listed on the sales, uh, whatever that paper is they put on the window. LOL

it seems that it’s not so much a package, it’s just standard on almost all Tundras. Maybe the baseline doesn’t have it but all the others do is the difference?

    I looked up the 2020 specs.....Screenshot_2021-02-22 2021 Toyota Tundra Exterior Specs Options.jpg

Just got a 10K used 2020 and a buddy was riding with me the other day and along the way while looking out of that large windshield. I remarked man that looks like an expensive piece of glass.

    Ha!

Don't try to replace the windshield yourself, it is involved, I had mine
professionally replaced yesterday by SAFELITE he had all the right tools - just removing the cracked one was interesting to see -- so don't do it yourself, besides my insurance AAA payd for it less the $250 deductible
