Mine was exactly like yours. I used automotive goo gone and WD40 and a hair dryer and my fingernails and floss and time and was able to get them off lol. The eraser wheels scare me

I ended up using WD40 and a magic eraser. I really like the look without the badges. It's so much cleaner. I found the badges distracting and broke up the lines

stay on top of those wheels, I had a set that the clear coat peeled off all 4, or started peeling on all four after about a year and a half

I thought about the parts I have waiting to go on. Does that count?

Yes! I used a magic eraser too. I had the badges off for a long time and really liked it and still really like it but I put all new black badges on from eBay and like them a lot now

Our snow is all melted and gone now, but got this cool picture of a Rock Warrior wheel during the past week.

Took the forum’s advice and used the Black Magic https://www.amazon.com/dp/B006NZRAFE

Nerf Bars were first since I want to replace them with something lower profile and didn’t mind ruining them somehow. They went into a time machine and look 13 years younger.

Since it was so effective, I gave the wheel wells a quick wash and hit those with the Black Magic as well. They also look new! Up next is the plastic on top of the rear bumper, which is more faded than anything. It’s up against the plasti-dipped bumper so will need to be more careful.

$50 Craigslist headlights. Haven’t hooked up the DRL yet (prongs on ignition fuse are too short to insert into headlight harness) but everything else works. Pretty sure they’re from MZAutoparts.

The UV damage on the stock headlights was too severe for Maguire's Restoration. Would love a pair of Alpharex or Morimotos in the future, but this was such a cheap and easy fix— I had to do it.

It would be interesting to hear some feedback on how the Black Magic holds up after a few washes. If anyone happens to remember...

I used to be able to get a product called Son of a Gun that was for tires, and that stuff kept those looking near-new looking after several rains/washes, even when applied over rock rubs. I also used it on my black plastic and bed cover. I left everything satiny and didn't look oily or fling off, and was cheap. I haven't been able to find the stuff locally when I think to look for it...

Added an all black TRD shift knob and repainted my shift surround in Rustoleum textured black to match the all black gauge cluster surround. Not sure if I’m going to paint the silver ring gloss black or leave it the way it is to match the HVAC knobs.

Dah! You got the exact one I want. I have a regular height topper that I got used cheap, but keep debating if I should sell it and plop the money on a new 180. Looking good.

Taking this new OE replacement grill to body shop, will have them spray it with silver paint to match my truck. Question- would you have them spray the center 3 bars also? Or leave them black? EC795EF5-7590-4D8C-89BB-EFBF8F05008F.jpg

I say leave the bars black. The silver surround will look good. I'm switching over to a black Rock Warrior grill for my silver truck. Looking forward to seeing yours done

Haha! Thanks. That is a "Red Steel" bumper by FabFour. I love the look but I was thoroughly unimpressed by the lack of quality control. All the threaded holes were absolutely horrible and had to be chased with a tap. Oh, and they forgot one of the main welds on one of the two brackets that bolts the whole deal to the frame. (New bracket was shipped to me) The install directions were complete and total garbage. Luckily putting a bumper on isn't rocket science but it was definitely more frustrating than it should have been. All in all I would probably still buy, only because I haven't seen anything else around the 1k price point I'd rather have. I ordered from BumpersOnly.com I believe.

Broke an old dangley crusty backup light off of old man tan on a snow bank at the liquor store last week. So I took the opportunity to put in some new flush mount back up lights. Nothing more fun than cutting into a shiny chrome bumper!
