    Hi guys,

I currently have 6112s on the top setting. Spc ucas, 5160s in the rear with 1.5” toytec shackles. That’s the extent of my suspension work.

    I added 18” methods and 35” ridgegrapplers.

I have add a roof rack, numerous other accessories. I’m getting ready to add about 100lb front steel bumper.

With the added weight of the above mentioned parts should I get a heavier spring for my 6112s? I found the eibach 800lb replacements

800 will be too much. 700 is the typical app for bumpers, I believe even the heavy duty stuff from OME and Ironman are still like 740ish, which is a lot.

Ok good to know, so I should be looking for 700lb?

what rate came on the 6112s from bilestein?

please forgive my ignorance but how do I find them from different manufacturers? I only found the eibach part number by someone’s for sale thread

I cant say for sure as I've heard it is both 600lb and 650 lb. Vendors even have them listed at different ratings as well.

Yes, 700 would be good. You could also run it on the stock springs and see how you feel first.

that’s what I will probably do first.

I will take measurements also before and after adding the bumper and give it some test drives

There may be labeling on your springs that will tell you the rate.

I called Bilstein directly with my 6112’s and they said the only spring rate they offer is 650 lbs.

This info is about 4 years old, so something could have changed.
