    Hey all,
My SW aspect is taking a beating during the summer.
It’s my two boys’ room on the second story and I’ve been looking for something to block the sun and heat from raising their room to 98 degrees, literally.
I’ve seen the solar screens you attach to the exterior, but no experience on those or if they are as efficient as they say. I was also thinking about tinting them although it’d be a pain in the butt. We do get some good winds so a draw shade or awning doesn’t seem practical and I know I’d forget to put them up. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this? Any options I haven’t thought of that won’t break the bank. The solar screens are running around 50-60 dollars per window.
