Is it reasonable to expect TRD or Helwig sway bars to improve stability while towing a travel trailer? I don’t go off-road. Mainly interested in reducing unwanted movement when passing or being passed by larger trucks.

    Yes.

I didn't have any issues without, but added TRD sways as extra protection, haven't towed with them yet.

Most say the Helwig is beefier and adjustable..but also more expensive.

I have the TRD sway bar. Tows very nicely.

What size and weight it the TT? You should probably be using a WDH when towing it.

To reduce or minimize truck or trailer sway, the key is in your weight distribution hitch, I highly recommend a hensley weight distribution hitch. look them up and view there video's. They are very $$$ but well worth it in my opinion.

Read about Falcon shocks that were designed with towing in mind. Entire thread in the Suspension subforum. Might want to check that out.
