Holy crap that FJ and others got plowed into.

Notice the guy walking, and ducks behind the cement barrier when that happens.

    Red arrow is the FJ

Red arrow is the guy standing back up

What a truly amazing story on all fronts. I know the paramedic probably does not feel like a hero as he was doing what he was trained to do. Which makes him all the more a hero. And hearing that Toyota did that for him as well as the nurse in California, makes me feel that much better about all of my Toyota purchases. I doubt any of the big three would have done that!

It seems absolutely amazing to me that he even survived that, let alone the rest of the story. Wow. to both Toyota and modern day safety features.

    Not nearly enough room here!
Because the barrier was made of Concrete; not Cement?
