Is Blind Spot Monitor hardwired on 2018-2021 tundra

Hi all, I am new here. I just ordered the 2021 tundra trd-off road premium in cement grey early January and it is looking like it is going to be a long wait. I need this truck by June at the very last. So I am thinking of getting the trd-off road.

I am wondering if the 2021 trd-off road (next time level down) comes with blind spot monitoring hardwired. This trim doesn’t come with the feature. I am trying to figure out if I were to change my order to the standard trd-off road if I can just upgrade the mirrors to activate the BSM? I hope this question makes scenes.

 

I doubt it. Bsm and CTA use radar I think in the plastic rear bumper ends... that’s the spendy part, not the orange led in the mirrors

 

That makes. The rear bumpers are different on the two models but they both have proximity sensors on them and I have watched a few vids on adding tow mirrors and that’s what got me thinking if the only difference between the two trucks are the mirrors.
