I have a 2012 Crewmax Platinum and am considering buying a 2011 Platinum in a color I like better. The trucks are identical in every way except color except the 2011 I'm looking at has TRD stickers. Nothing is blacked out (chrome trim and polished Platinum 20"s) and no differences I can see except the TRD stickers.

I'm trying to find out the difference, or if someone has just stuck TRD stickers on it. I don't really care whether it is a TRD package or not, I just didn't know there was one for a Platinum in 2011. That's what leads me to believe stickers. If it was a Rock Warrior it would probably have the 18"s and be black or white, correct? The truck is gray.

I have a 2011 platinum and from what I can find (admittedly I'm not the best at searching), there is no TRD edition of the platinum. In fact I think the platinum has all the factory bells and whistles you can get.

So most likely you just have a bunch of stickers.

I just purchased a used 2012 Platinum and the only upgrade other than replacing the stock NAV unit is installing a TRD sway bar this weekend. Other than that, it has everything I need

Plastidip emblems, Pace Edward bed cover w/lumber rack, remote start, TRD intake and exhaust, TRD front and rear sway bars, color match grill surround, LED headlight upgrade.
From everything I researched before purchasing my 2011 Platinum, there wasn't a TRD package available with the Platinum package. Kind of Apples and Oranges. The Platinum was the "Luxury" version. The TRD shocks would have made the ride more harsh. Thats my $.02 :D I have added TRD options to my Platinum; TRD Intake, Exhaust, front and rear sway bars. It's all about what you want. Be sure to post pictures if you get it.

Hopefully I'll be in a position to get a new one when the 2022s come out, and I'll probably get the Platinum again, and do the TRD add ons minus badging.
