Who has upgraded and can recommend a good aftermarket stereo. Touchscreen, navigation and iPhone compatible. Obviously needs to stream and have connectivity to media and can still use steering wheel controls.

What’s your price range? Stereo’s get stupid expensive pretty easily.

Cheap. I just want something that works. Not an audiophile but I know aftermarket units tend to upgrade the quality. I have an aftermarket sub and amp already installed. Bought the truck used and it came with the sub/amp. Just want something better in the dash. Such an outdated interface at this point. I’m fine with some 200-400 range. I saw some cool $1k units but I’d rather spend that on my actual gear and not on something as trivial as this.

    1 or 2... I lost count
I used a cheap head unit similar to this one but not exact. There are a lot of different listings. Then I bought a car play adapter and a USB port that plugs into one of the dash blanks. Completely plug and play into the factory harnesses, BUT, I only have half of my steering wheel buttons (volume up/down and prev/next track). The software lets you rebind all the buttons and I could splice into the harness and make the other buttons work but it was not worth it to me. Carplay adapter works flawlessly and can be hidden behind the dash inline with the USB port that I opted to use. All in, I'm right around the $300 mark. It does not have the fancy features that the expensive units will come standard with but it works and I really liked that I did not need a dash kit since those always look like afterthoughts in my opinion.

I just put this in my wife’s sequoia the other week, has been great so far. Was $420 OTD with plastic surround and wiring harness... just need to get some connectors and your good to go

I also used this to replace the Aux port for CarPlay and has been great.
