Thanks for the comment and reply. I’ll check before and after the rear shocks install to see what I get and post afterwards. I have a new rear sway bar and 1” shackles too, so lots of fun stuff this weekend!

Well, I installed the TRD Pro rear shocks and rear sway bar this weekend. My before rear height from center of hub to top edge of fender well was right at 24" before. Since the suspension was already down I went ahead and installed the new TRD shock and 1" shackle. This resulted in a 1.75" lift. I thought that was just a little too much so I removed the shackles, thinking I would still have 3/4" lift as you had had...wrong! Either my 1" shackles gave me more than 1" (most likely) or the combination of the shackles and shocks resulted in 1.75" - not exactly sure.
Anyhow, I went back to 24" when I removed the shackles and with only the TRD Pro shocks. It looks good enough for now and maybe I'll try to lift a little in the future and depending on how much my boat causes the rear to sag (would rather not install air bags as I don't tow very often).

Hate to say it but I like the rear sitting higher pic! I’d install it and ride around a bit before I gave up on a little rear lift. Having rake may not be the cool look, but it sure is functional. The way the truck was designed to sit.

I'm on the fence as I do like a little rake too. I was hoping for about 1" lift and got closer to 2". Maybe I need to let it settle-in more as you suggest or buy another shackle that gives me closer to 1". It's not a tough job to reinstall these shackles. Thanks.

Nice looking setup with the Coopers. They look aggressive and quiet at the same time. Guess it’s the sidewall lugs that give them the “look.”

Many Thanks for compliments. I'm not a frequent off-roader and liked that these were lighter than most 295/70/R18s at 59 Lbs each.
This is my first set of Coopers and I normally run BFG KO2's on my other toyotas (89' Pickup 4X4 and previous '07 4Runner). I have to say the ride is very good and they are quiet as well. These are pretty new so only time will tell how well they hold up.

Those Coopers look great. Are you still using the stock UCA? How's the clearance between the UCA and tire?

Maybe a small 3/4 block or get Coachbuilder level one shackles (or whatever they're called) that I've read give about 3/4". Especially if you'll be hauling or towing.

Yes, I am still using the factory UCAs. Before I added the 1.25” wheel spacers I think the space between tire and UCA was close at maybe .25” to .375”. The spacers made some tire rubbing on the splash wells but nothing a heat gun and small dead blow hammer couldn’t fix.
Good idea on the rear lift. I might try that! Thanks.

I bit the bullet. I ordered the full set up from Sparks Parts and they finally came in this past week. I have an appointment to get them installed. I’ll show some before and after pictures once they’re on the truck.F8FB4366-BD1C-4EF5-A380-5B750D395F0A.jpg

@Terndrerrr @Badknees @Wynnded or anyone else installing FOX TRD PRO's
I found this install sheet, although it's for the Bilstein TRD pro's( I think, not positive)...., and was wondering if you guys used these alignment specs ? I'm not even sure if it's applicable to the FOX but can't imagine it's too different.
I also noticed in the instructions for Toyota it talked about Techstream and Zero point calibrations for ABS, Master cylinder pressure sensor, and deceleration sensor.
Did you guys have that done ?

    (d) Select the skid control ECU to clear the zero point calibration data using the Techstream. Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRAC / Utility / Reset Memory

    8. Perform a Zero Point Calibration of the Master Cylinder Pressure Sensor and Deceleration Sensor (Using Techstream).

    •  While obtaining the zero point, do not vibrate the vehicle by tilting, moving or shaking it and keep it stationary. (Do not start the engine.)

    •  While obtaining the zero point, do not depress the brake or accelerator pedal.

    •  Obtain the zero point on a level surface (with an inclination of 1° or less).
    (a) Enter the Test Mode.

    1. (1) Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. (2) Check that the shift lever is in neutral.

    3. (3) Turn the ignition switch on. DO NOT START ENGINE.

I followed the attached TRD instructions and installed the suspension myself. I should add that they are not 100% accurate for the rear shocks and the lower cushion washer does not need to be deleted - causes the new Fox rubber boot to come off. I took the truck to a good tire shop for the alignment, but doubt the did any "zero point calibrations" as specified - in fact, I overlooked this part of the instructions completely! I plan to add a CB .25" shim soon to lift the front 0.5", so will let my Toyota service do the alignment next time and be sure they adhere to all the calibrations needed. Anyhow, I haven't seen any negative effects so far and very pleased with the improvements in lift/ride.

Honestly, I don't remember if there were instructions with mine. On the rears I just put all the cushions and spacers back in the way they came out. I read on this board somewhere that the alignment specs for this level of lift were the same as stock or no lift; I've deleted my notes on what those were. I haven't had any dash lights come on relating to traction control or ABS, so I didn't bother doing a ZPC.

Yeah I was getting all pumped up to do it. Then read the directions and was like , Ah sh$t that’s gonna require a trip to Toyota. Wasn’t sure if it’s necessary, but figured they had it in there for a reason. I dunno. I’ll tackle the rear first ...

I installed the kit in my driveway. Took the truck to Toyota for an alignment. Told them I need an alignment because I put OEM TRD Pro parts on it. They screwed up the alignment the first time but got it sorted out the second time. It drives smooth with no pulling or shaking on the highway. Feels great. I can pretty much guarantee they didn't do any kind of ZPC for me, but I'm not at all worried about it.

There's a method for doing the ZPC with a paperclip, attached. Jump to step 4, your SST is the paperclip.

I expect it's just a little CYA from Toyota...but if getting the alignment done anyhow, can't hurt to do the other too (unless those SOB's try to charge me extra!)

yeah I can see they aren’t written the best.
I ran out of time and put off install. I was
Re-reading that install sheet tonight though and it doesn’t make any sense on the order of things.
For example, it doesn’t have you torque down the rear shock bottom bolt until after the front end alignment is complete. Maybe there’s something I’m not getting but it literally
Skips. Top shock bolt, alignment, torque sway bar, then go back to rear and torque bottom shock.

Sorry if this was already answered. What is the bracket sensor kit for?
I installed my Fox kit a year ago and was unaware of this needed part?

It's to relocate the speed sensor wire over the rear end for more slack.

9194C2B6-7890-4F97-877E-3596BD182F8A.jpg I got everything on for a little more than $400. I’m very happy with the results. I have a slight slight buyers remorse as it is just about the same look as my 5100s on the middle setting. Definitely a big improvement over even small bumps and very nice on the highway. I think overall it’s more peace of mind that my front end isn’t being supported with little cl-clamps around the shock.I’ll try to post some better before and after pics when the weather clears up.B3B157C7-20AC-4B9F-A531-4629959D1F6A.jpg

Looks good. I had 5100's in my Tacoma so not a fair comparison, but I just installed the TRD Pro's in my Tundra and boy, what a difference. I honestly thought the 5100's were a downgrade from stock ride on my Tacoma. The stance was nice, but I didn't like the feel at all. I wouldn't have buyers remorse at all. It looks nice, it drives nice and has a noticeable improvement off-road and on-road.

I did the rears yesterday and it was a good change. Definitely didn’t lean as much. I had the fronts done by a friend at his local auto shop. We noticed the left front tie rod boot was ripped and no more grease. Awesome enough, the guy I purchased the Fox Pro’s from had a box of parts, tie rods, UCA’s, differential bolts that he didn’t want and I grabbed them. His extra tie rods had perfect boots so that saved me some coin. I think the local dealer damaged it when replacing the CV boot. It looked like it was pinched on both sides.
I cannot overstate the ride difference from the spacer lift that was on it. Wow! Huge improvement and I’m stoked. The only thing that had me worries is the drivers side front shock sure is really close to the sway bar link. The passenger side isn’t as close. Anyone find the same thing in theirs ? Front sits 1” lower than rear now.
