Any chance you every found out what dash kit works? Also, did you retain functionality of all of the stock features (JBL, backup camera, steering wheel controls, etc.)? Looking to pull the trigger on one of these in the near future.

I asked crutchfield and he said, " Looks like the issue is how the stereo mounts. It's designed to mount into single-DIN size openings in what we call an ISO-DIN mount using factory radio side mounting brackets.

And we don't offer a mounting kit for the Tundra that mounts the stereo in that manner unfortunately.

So, it's not impossible, but would take some custom work to properly secure the radio chassis."

Did you go with the Maestro unit? If you ahve more pics would love to see from other angles, I can't decided between the two sizes. I am also crossing my fingers that sooner or later you can get a deal on one of these.

I did. I got the Idatalink Maestro RR2 with the T03 harness (2020 model is different). And here are a few more pics. But remember you can move the unit up or down and tilt forward or backward as well35B79E5F-FA7E-4EC4-8652-F8DDE2038C13.jpg2DB0FFC4-AC37-4441-B450-C32A3C7483D4.jpg

Really wasn’t bad at all. Took a couple calls to Idatalink for clarification, but was pretty damn easy

Shoot man I forgot to check the invoice but I will this evening. With the addition of the maestro whatever thing I retained everything. The useless voice button on the right of the steering wheel is now Siri. Works fantastic and it makes the crappy jbl system actually sound good believe it or not.

Do you guys know if there is a screen resolution difference between the pioneer dmh-w4660nex and the pioneer dmh-wt8600nex? i cant really find any differences between the two except one being a 7" screen and the other a 10". am i paying 600$ more for 3 extra inches and thats it? it almost still seems worth it but im just wondering if there are more things i am also gaining. on crutchfield they literally list no differences between the two.

Man, I am really trying to not go down a huge rabbit hole........... but it’s not just an extra 3”. It’s like over twice as big in terms of surface area (roughly 20”sq vs 45”sq) since both are 16:9 aspect ratio. The 10.1” is also 720 HD resolution, where the 6.8” is just widescreen.

Use the kit from crutchfield. And yes, install the screen before you try and put it in the truck. But install the dash kit to the radio first

i got my usb to work and movies and music videos are awesome! it adds a lot to the atmosphere with the music! curious about the firmware update if you guys have done it. i am having the hardest time with it. i have a 4 gb memory card like crutchfield suggested and i have tried fat32 and ntsf. i have tried leaving it in the zip folder. taking it out and even making the zip folder a regular folder. for the life of me i cant find any details on putting it on the usb the correct way.

Was just told from crutchfield that this does not fit my truck(2011) but obviuosly it does. I have the avh4600 in now will be upgrading next year some time, I already have harnesses and maestro so I should need anything extra but head unit. Anything different you needed to install?

Read more and I see someone was asking the same question, Sorry.

    Can anyone answer this?

Actually does Sirius XM work at all with this HU? Crutchfield shows that functionality greyed out when you add their suggested installation parts.

I was considering going with one of those "Tesla" style head units but I really don't want to lose my stock controls for ac/seats etc. So this one is in the lead now. Looks like everyone is using the Metra dash kit. From the pictures it doesn't look like the silver on the sides matches the silver below. It could be one of those you only see it in the pictures kind of things. Just how close is it to matching?

HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) is a form of Digital Rights Management (DRM). DRM protocols are designed to protect content creators and distributors against piracy. With that said, I'll post a link here as it explains in the simplest terms why such errors occur.
My best bet is that your HDMI cable to iPhone may not be up to compliance.
    or
Your head unit might not have a license to play DHCP so e-mail/ call pioneer support to see what they say.

So how y'all liking this thing? Looking to maybe get one for my 2008. How does Netflix and YouTube work? Coming from an Android head unit I'm used to all those apps running flawlessly.

I did this one from Amazon is 10.1" Android 10.Basically all bells and whistles of the Tesla in a 10.1" does not take control of your HVAC, it does have all those functions built in, I have basic HVAC so can't test all those fancy features. 30 Band graphic EQ, DSP, name it got it all. Found this thing got better DSP than the Kenwood 6704s or 6406s don't remember the exact model#. Look for the YUNTx 10.1" universal and make sure to pick the one with DSP,px6 and bluetooth 5 is around $250, had to buy a usb Android auto dongle and Can Bus. The Can Bus was $42 with all harnesses from YunTX and bought the Android Dongle used on Amazon for $8. upload_2021-8-15_17-52-6.jpgupload_2021-8-15_17-52-27.jpgupload_2021-8-15_17-53-15.jpg
