I love cardboard.

I save big boxes to cut into silhouette targets.

 

My kids love it too. The boxes that their toys come in get more play than the toys do. Also bubble wrap.

I work for a company that designs and manufactures machinery that produces "right-sized" packaging. We are also able to make all kinds of other cool stuff.

Here is one of our machines in a major distribution center in Memphis, TN.



And here is a canoe some co-workers and I designed and built for a colleagues' son's cardboard canoe challenge in Boy Scouts. He and his brother won by a long shot. According to the rules you could build with cardboard and use duct tape to hold together/waterproof. After this thing was coated with duct tape it was unsinkable. Tracked really well too. I have the videos of his kids destroying the competition but I don't want to post a video of a bunch of kids without their parents permission. It was a landslide victory. Kind of unfair when your dad works with a bunch of automation and design engineers who work with cardboard on a daily basis.

 

Are you guys hiring? Seems like a dream job to me.

My wife makes fun of me when I get excited about a big fresh piece of cardboard that goes into garage cardboard stash. The big furniture box size piece with no seams staples or bends... Oh yeah, that's a keeper.

Mechanic work. Home projects, painting, drywall work, etc. Protecting finished flooring when doing other work. Never goes to waste.

 

I take it Amazon is not one of your customers...
