I saw a guy Line-x his entire rig with Line-X red. At first it looked really good, then after awhile, that thing looked like a rolling bottle of Pepto due to fade...Ever since that, I was skittish on the Line-x option.

Hahaha, when I got my first truck done I asked about a blue colored Line-X.

They told me that black was the only color with UV blockers so it doesn't fade. The other colors fade out from the sun. That was the Line-X dealer. You would think they would push it. So the colors must fade fast. Like a Red Boat to pink.

Baja Designs LP9s, Rigid industries Dually ditch lights + Switch Pros SP-9100.

Just had 3x Baja Designs LP9s installed on my Expedition One bumper. These replaced an older Rigid industries 30" light bar. Why? These offer 3 light modes: a backlight feature, Low beam (3 LEDs) and High beam (9 LEDs). Existing light bar just had Off/On. In addition, the SwitchPro SP-9100 is a solid state, fully programmable switch system. It serves as one switch to wire to with no need for additional relays or fuses; just wire to the SP-9100 power panel and you are good to go...

I am not gifted in electrical system installations, so I chose to have this system professionally installed. I purchased the lights directly from Baja Designs (via the scratch and dent inventory) and saved some coin on all 3 lights. I bought the SwitchPros 9100 kit and A-pillar bracket mounts from SDHQ. Anyway, on to the pics.

    Before SwitchPro:

As you can see, my existing wire schematics was a hodge podge collection of wiring from previous installations. No clear direction of what goes where...

    After:

Here is a 'bird's eye' pic of the SwitchPros power panel in relation to the main battery. The installer found a good location on the fender well. He took the time to tiddy the wiring up as a whole. Looks much cleaner than before.

    The interior

First issue was where to put the SwitchPro panel. 3rd gen Tundras have several mounting options available, but I was unable to find options for the 2nd gens.

SOLUTION: I found that the existing 'credit card holder' was a perfect fit for the panel. It is located right in front of the sunroof switches. I have never used this compartment so it was decided to use it accordingly...

    Before the LP9s:

    After LP9s:

    20200715_191602.jpg

Backlight mode is on. I chose to pass on the Low beam setting because the SwitchPros offer a dimming feature where I can run all 9 LEDs at 10%.

LP9s with High beams + backlights:

    LP9s + Dually A-pillar lights:

    LP9s + Dually A-pillar lights + 40" light bar:

All in all, my expectations have been exceeded with this phase of lighting changes. The Sequoia LEDs, LP9s and the A-pillar lights are worth every penny.

    BWJ

3" OME lift w/ UCAs. ARE overland shell w/ ARE roof rack. 34" Falken Wildpeaks. ARB awning. Road shower. Wilco Offroad Hitchgate Solo High Clearance. LED lighting upgrades. Lockerdown console safe. Weathertech floormats. Duluth deluxe rear seat cover to go under the offroad approved car seats.... :P
Beautiful Rig... Looks a lot like my vision for the 2012 crewmax I just bought... A few questions... Did you have to mod the snorkel at all to get it to fit? I'm coming from a LC and I'm sold on the Safari Snorkel, that would be awesome if it could be made to fit. When you swapped in the Sequioa headlights, was that just a straight replacement or did you have to make modifications? What is that hood protector? Mine has the clear OEM film, and it looks like crap...

    COElk,

Great minds think alike...Safari snorkel was for the 200 series Land Cruiser. Only thing is that it will eliminate you radio antenna so install and rerout if necessary.

Sequoia LEDs were plug and play. You need the harness from xrunnerdude67.

Hood protecter is one that I got from Cabelas...

Good luck on your mods! Let me know if you need anything else.

    Regards,

    BWJ
