Hey , I have always received great advice here , need some more , driving my cherubs to Orlando for Universal for 4 days. I just bought my Tundra, want to have it serviced in Orlando as it hits 5k while down there . It’s covered so does anyone have a dealership in the Orlando area that they recommend?
Also , does anyone recommend any other activities in the Orlando area? My wife and I were looking to drop the girls and find a state park and do some kayaking . Maybe hog hunting ? Maybe bass fishing ?
Can anyone point me in the right direction? Appreciate any in advance !

Stay away from the Orange Blossom Trail. :p

On a serious note, it's been so long that I can't recommend anything, at least not around that area.

I would get any service needed before your trip. Ive never had a good experience with service or repairs while on a trip and it is one less thing you need to worry about.

Serious question - when're you going? I've got a ton of family in that area and I can ask them what they recommend.

I second what he says ^^ And either do it a week earlier than the trip just in case there are any issues or just wait till you get back...which is what I would do.

Thank you for all your responses, appreciated, leaving Saturday for Florence from Long Island , overnight there then Cocoa Beach on Sunday , watch two 13 year old girls go crazy in Ron Jon then off to universal Monday through Friday.
    I can’t do universal everyday ? Can I?
    Again , appreciate it all!

    Alot of them
Just search Orlando attractions. I live on the Tampa side but you have Universal, Disney, Disney Springs, SeaWorld, watermarks, etc. Just an FYI, most people down here don't use turn signals and like to do lane sweeps to the other side.

While in cocoa beach, goto Rustys at port Canaveral for lunch/dinner, the kids will enjoy also. As for service goto Mike Erdman Toyota at I95 and 520 in cocoa, I have been dealing with them for a long time, no issues they will even give you a loaner. As for stuff to do take the Family on an Air Boat tour LoneCabbage fish camp in cocoa something different. There is a bunch of stuff to do in Central FL. Just depends on how much $$$$$$ you want to spend. Kennedy Space Center is another good one and a lot cheaper than the theme parks.

I live on Merritt Island, in between Cocoa and Cocoa Beach

Toyota of Orlando is very close to Universal, and I use them for all my service. They are open crazy hours too and take appointments. You can spend all the days at Universal, really depends on how old the kids are? If they are teens, they will want to. Sea World has had a rough go of it, and not like it used to be since the whole Blackfish thing. I'm not aware of any Hog hunting in Orange County anymore for public consumption. It's all on private land in this county now with all the housing boom.

As for extra attractions, Believe it or not for a half day excursion, Gatorland is fun. It's S. Orange Blossom Trail and not near the red light district everyone else is steering you away from.

Wekiva River is a neat place to canoe or kayak, and they rent them. About 40 minutes from Universal area in next county North. Water is pristine clear spring fed.

A close by park to Universal is Bill Frederick Park at Turkey Lake.

And another to South one county:

Hope that gets you what you are looking for. If you have more specific questions, feel free to PM me. I've been here since 1985 and before that on Long Island.

My best advice to you is DON'T GO TO ORLANDO!. ;):D With that warning out of the way, your family would love Blue Spring State Park which is near Otown. Pretty cool place. A LOT of manatees. You may have to call about where to put the boats in at cuz it looks like there are some restrictions right now.. But you should be able to get them in on the St. Johns, and do some fishing...Also, get there early

+1 for Gatorland... a good time and definitely not the usual "mouse crowd" there.
