I went with BAM... Keith can make it with mufflers that are longer than 10" to keep the wife happy. Make sure you install the resonator!

Your wife will be happy with Keith's 8" - I promise. I know from experience.........just had my Dirty Deeds delivered/installed a few days ago. It's perfect. No resonator needed.

Beat me, I got 100 off the SS standard system and free shipping, $850 total. Getting Katzkinz put in Wednesday, tires, wheels and lift week after next, and then the exhaust will be the last piece to the puzzle. At least the lift will make it easier to install lol. It's like Christmas in September.

Ha, I won't even tell you what I paid for mine. It was a deal that was hard to beat. :D I have the 8" and did not use the resonator.

I just got the 10" and didn't install the resonator. I'd like to hear what it sounds like with it, but from what people here say, I'll probably prefer it without. It did get a lot louder in the cab at times, which I didn't expect.

Keith sells a block off plate so you can run with/without resonator as the mood hits. It's basically a section of exhaust pipe cut about in half long wise to cover the 2 inch hole for the resonator. Run the plate when you want loud. Run the resonator when you want quiet.

Ordered the 10 last night, but I won't be towing any time soon..hell maybe never. If we do tow something probably just a small camper or something like a tear drop. I changed my order to the 8 inch. Really looking forward to getting installed next month.

I saw that. Thanks. I'm going to give it some time and decide whether to cut the hole. Everything is great other than the increased cab noise.

    I hear ya...

FWIW: The resonator doesn't really affect the exterior sound much, it cancels that constant deep frequency that you hear on the inside. On throttle, you'll still hear the exhaust inside, it will just have a cleaner sound - not as overpowering. And you'll really notice the quiet under steady cruise conditions.

Thanks. That's exactly what I wanted to know. Sounds great outside, but there is that loud deep frequency inside at lower RPMs and then sometimes at highway speed. Sounds like I need to install the resonator. I want that clean sound you're talking about.

First drive with it and I had an "oh shit" moment. First thought was maybe I should have gone with the 12" system like you did. Or kept it stock. I tow a trailer a lot during camping season. It's actually quieter in tow/haul.

I never tried my 12” without the resonator, but I’m pretty sure it would drone without it. From what you’re saying, I think you’ll be happy with what you have if you install the resonator.

In addition to a better exhaust note are there any performance gains?

Getting my 8 inch adapter piece for the 8” 2010 exhaust model they sent me tomorrow. Plan on running with my block off plate and not using the resonator. The 10 was slightly louder than stock, and I had to hammer the throttle to get her awake.

Keith mentioned 8 with res is only a little louder than 10 with res. Surprised me enough that the drone doesn’t bother me almost at all. I’m usually the bastard that can hear all frequencies of sounds that drive me nuts! This was definitely an outlier experience for me.

The 10 without res sounded like it’s let out and fuller, and I expect the 8 without res to be the same. The 6 inch sounds too musclecar like imo.

I gotta learn how to take it on and off myself at this point. Got some 33” falkens atw3 ordered today and should be able to get under there without a lift.
