Hi @SprinterAE86 ! I was looking at some threads and saw you've been tackling the speedometer calibrator. I have a 2016 Sequoia SR5, I purchased a Hypertech speedometer recalibrator ( model 730119). Even though all the literature and all the hypertech dealers says it should work, it doesn't (I installed it correctly, but it has no effect on speedo). Called hypertech support, they said it should have never been advertised as working with a sequoia because it doesn't. Is that true? or are they just trying to get me off the phone?
How is the bullydog working out? Does that calibrate the speedo as well? Or did you try yellow box?

Anyone out there successfully use a Hypertech 730119 on a Sequoia? Any other options?

That's what I told tech support! Tech support said, that engineering said it shouldn't be up there. It was never tested on a sequoia apparently. My question is what's different about a Sequoia and Tundra that causes it not to work on a sequoia. Hypertech support is very little help...

Yeah I had an issue with them too. They told me that they haven't tested the interceptor for the 2020 Tundra. I guess they aren't hurting for sales during Covid. Check with Rough Country. I saw some here that they have a speedo calibrator for the Tundra, so you might have luck with them.

I have a rough country (hypertech calibrator) It worked with my 2020, but the cruise control setting still reads with out the correction. I have a yellow box that I have not had the chance to install yet since I have to splice/bypass wires and I don't have a garage to do it indoors.

My main concern about the Hypertech/RoughCountry is the harness might be plug and play, but the wires might not be the right corresponding one since the digital display is different. I don't want to have buy an $800 cluster.

I think you’re right about the wires not being correct. The hypertech harness is plug and play, and I was able to update the software, but it has zero effect on the speedo. If hypertech was more helpful, and I had a wiring diagram, maybe I could make that change...

Right now, I'm running my snow tires one size taller. And using GPS speed-o-meter on me Android radio or GPS.

funny thing... when i first had purchased my former Sequoia, it had 265's and i sold it with 35's. never once did i notice the speedo out of calibration running any size tire. it may not make sense, but i confirmed with at a speed trap right after getting 35's put on and the thing said i was going 55 and it matched my speedo before and after.

do we NEED one of these? speed is measured from wheel sensors, right?

The sensor is on the transmission. If it's obd2, u think that signal is fun the wheel base on what bully dog and hypertech told me when I was shopping for speedo calibrator.

55mph error correction may be minimal. But if you're speed limit is 65/70 the error becomes greater especially if you're driving 10mph over the speed limit.

If I go 35's no, if I stay 295.70.18 yes.
