I decided when I bought this truck that I was going to leave it stock but after 9 months, driving got pretty boring without an exhaust.

I've decided to not go with the TRD dual exhaust, as me and my father were listening to it while at the dealership. I don't want to spend 1650$(Canadian money) to hear an exhaust that sounds like a stock truck.

I decided I would go with Dirtydeeds unless there's a better option out there. I'm undecided if I want to go 10", 8", 6" or the Budget System. I want it to sound close from stock all the time but when I step on it, I want the V8 sounding like a mean muscle car.

If you own a dirtydeeds exhaust, can you plz share your experience with me? Are there any other recommanded options for a Canadian guy like me? I'm aware that the shipping is crazy expensive but I'm willing to bite the bullet to get a good performance system. I won't be adding anything else performance wise to the truck only bigger tires in the future.

DirtyDeeds 8" without the resonator will be perfect for you. That's what I run on mine. @dirtydeeds can answer all of your questions. Keith knows these truck for sure! He even put one on a truck while blindfolded.

Won't there be a drone without a resonator?

I have the Budget system. On very cold starts it's loud for the first couple minutes.

Casual driving, taking off from stops, very mild rumble.

Cruising at a constant speed(any speed including highway) quiet as stock. Cannot believe how well Resonator works.

When you step on it? Big Grin, VERY LOUD and Aggressive. Everyone will be impressed by the noise your Toyota can make

I have the DD 10 inch, have not yet installed the resonator. It is a nice deep sound, more volume than stock but an "adult and refined" sound. Cold start is just a little more volume than stock, and deeper. Idle is close to stock. Nice sound on the throttle but nothing approaching obnoxious. No mistaking this for a stock exhaust.

I have not installed the resonator yet due to weather. Mine has some drone between 1500-1900rpm, but it is quite livable as is. Installing the resonator will eliminate that completely. It offers a performance boost and deeper, refined tone. If you tow, I would suggest the 10 inch as under load any of the DD will make some noise.

Sometimes I wish I would have gone with the 8 inch, but I do tow a camper so was concerned about a long tow on a trip and did not want to piss the neighborhood off at cold starts. At my age, mid 50s, the 10 inch is a good fit. In my younger days I would have rocked the 8 inch. Budget or 6 inch would be too over the top I think as I like a deep tone but no rasp.

Sounds like the 10 inch may be what you are looking for. There are some good sound clips on this site as well as YouTube, just search Tundra dirtydeeds exhaust.

I have the dirty deeds standard that uses the stock tailpipe and resonator. It’s legit...Keith is the man. Best customer service ever. Sound warranty. Loud if you want it... chill on highway cruising. @dirtydeeds chime in please

If you live in an area where they salt the roads I can tell you the TRD exhaust is built from low grade stainless and rusts like mad.

I will be replacing mine with a Borla when it fails.

I'll install the resonator because I drive around with my wife and my son. Is there a big difference in loudness between Budget and 8" or 6"? Quiet at idle would be nice lol

    Honestly bro,

You should just straight up call Keith. He has a checklist for people who aren't sure. He'll ask you like 10 questions and know exactly what you're looking for.

Quit it man. You’re gonna make me move on that budget system. Does that resonator require welding?

Nope, comes with clamps to clamp it to the tailpipe. Just have to cut/drill a hole.

I’ve had the Dirty Deeds 10inch for about 1 year. It is as advertised! And is definitely louder than stock, and slightly louder than the TRD exhaust. I like it how it is and choose not to install the resonator because I’m afraid it will tame the sound! Many have gone with the 12in? I’d bet if you called Keith he’d steer you towards the 10-12? And you should call him so you get it right the first time!

I currently run the 12 inch standard system, but I've used TRD and 8 inch BAM. I posted my feedback in another recent post so I just copied it to this post....

My take on the standard 12 inch (assuming you use the tailpipe resonator)....

Interior sound is more than OEM but less than TRD. It has a pleasant deep tone with a tempered growl when accelerating, but shuts off under no/light throttle. Steady highway cruise is quiet too.

Exterior sound is actually a little more aggressive sounding than TRD, but still very classy. The TRD is very bass-y and burbly sounding so it's not real loud - it's all deep tones. The 12 is deep, but has some deeper mid tones (if that makes sense) compared to the TRD, so it actually has more volume than TRD on the outside.

I traded the 8 for the 12 because the 8 had a little bit of pop/rasp under heavy throttle. The 12 has none of that. Just a clean deep sound.

Thanks for all of the great compliments everyone.

We truly have the best exhaust system on the market... hands down. The sound can be absolutely customized to the exact sound you want it to be. Keith has developed a bolt on system so that anyone can do it in their driveway (yes, even blindfolded). V8 rumble, no drone, you can install it, sound warranty, oh and all for under $1000.00, it just keeps getting better and better.

There's only 1 way to smile every time you are driving and that is to have a Dirty Deeds Industries exhaust on your truck!!!!

Any questions, I encourage everyone to speak with Keith. Anything about your truck, he is your man and always just a phone call away. He enjoys helping people to get exactly what you want and the most out of your truck.

I installed the 10 inch yesterday and the resonator today (weather issues). I could not describe the sound better than the above paragraph. I haven't really gotten on it yet but like the low growl of a little acceleration from a stop. The resonator helped my wife not notice the difference between the DD and stock. I called Keith before buying and went with his recommendation.

I called Keith and decided to go with the 6" resonator. I want my truck to sound awsm and I feel like with the 8", it won't be exactly the same. If I'm going to spend money, I want my truck to sound like a V8. I should get it mid-April.

I ordered the DDBA 10" system and received it a week early! Installed it in my driveway, resonator included and took me about a hour and a half. Perfect fit and sounds great, exactly what I wanted. I'm impressed (I don't impress easily)...thanks to the folks at DD for mfg. a great product.

Installed my BA muffler 2 weeks ago and I must say, it increased the pleasure in driving! Crazy thing about it, I do better MPG since I've installed the exhaust. I've done several test on the highway and in the city. I used to do 13.5 to 15.5 liters per 100km on the highway now I can do 11.5 to 14.5 liters per 100km. Instead of doing 18mpg, I'm doing 20mpg. Whatever. I'll take it lol

I wonder if the 8" is quieter than the 6" at lower rpm? If so, it makes me want to go towards that direction.

Question @dirtydeeds have the stainless 10 inch system and ran it for a while without resonator. Did finally install the resonator, and it seems like power is a bit better and MPG went up a little. That typical for installing the resonator?

No, it would have no impact on the MPG, HP, or TQ. The resonator simply cancels out the drone sound wave.

    Thanks, Shawna, DDI
