Has anyone used Meguiars Spray “Clay”? I do clay our vehicles with a clay bar, but was thinking about using this about 4-6 months after I clay just for maintenance.

so i tried this on my truck a few month ago and didn't find that it removed much iron contaminants and/or the contaminants in the paint. i used it again a couple months ago on my wife's white van where I knew there was brake dust and iron contaminants and never saw it turn purple a whole bunch. i did keep using it on my wife's van with a Mother's Clay mitt i had and it worked well as a lubricant to help me clay the vehicle. honestly, i'd prob just stay with iron-x for iron remover and use something else as a clay lubricant. i use lots of Meguiar's products, but wasn't very impressed with this one.

I can second this. IronX completely outclasses this product with regards to contaminant removal. It doesn’t waste time pretending to be an all in one decon/wax.

As for lube, any car shampoo heavily diluted(10/1) will work fine as a clay lube. You don’t have to waste money on a specialty chemical for that if you don’t want to.

The only thing I’ve tried that was in IronX’s league was Shine Supply Smooth Move.

even the meguiar's brand had a "pleasant" scent to it, but it still had a strong chemical smell that i'm glad I utilized outside the garage.

I was hoping the troll attempt would pan out! Smelling ironx should be a detailing rite of passage.

Well then I’m in! After being on the south side of a north bound skunk, I want to relive some of the more “invigorating” moments of life.
