Hello everybody, I am new to the forum. I’m just excited for I just added the Alpine ktp 445u to my stock head unit. And I gotta say it made the focal plug and play speakers sound amazing. Don’t even need sub. Just had to share. My Tundra is a 2012 Crewmax .

I realize that this is an old post, but looking to replace the factory, non-JBL underseat amp with the KTP-445U. Found these wiring harnesses which are made for this amp on Amazon, do I just cut off the factory harness and resplice it to this harness or how does it work? No need for slicing. Just connect right wires from harness to amp. Then it’s plug to factory harness.

I just hope you’re not like me and never satisfied. Since then I upgraded with Audison af m 12.14 bit, all Audison components, mid range, Audison coaxial and Jl audio powered sub. Now satisfied

Well, my current plan is to replace the head unit with an Alpine Halo 11, replace the factory amp, then the factory speakers at some point.

Alpine sounds great, but didn’t know you had factory amp. Wiring could be tricky. My truck was non jbl and no factory amp.

Yes I have the non-JBL factory system which has an amp under the seat. The harness I sent the link for is supposedly to attach the KTP-445U directly to the factory wiring so you can just directly replace that factory amp.

Okay, so I got the wiring harnesses in which connect directly to the factory harnesses under the passenger seat for the non-JBL amp. I also got the Alpine KTP-445U amp. I'm a super newb at car audio, I know I will need to crimp wires together, but where do the RCA jacks go? I have other pics if needed.

You won't use the RCA jacks.
    You are using speaker-level inputs..

Make sure you put the switch on speaker input.

Your amp and speaker wire colors.
That is the amp at the bottom of the page.
It should have every wire you need unless you run a power line from the battery instead of using the factory amp power...

Remember your dash speakers are powered from the HU, they don't go thru the amp.

Where did you get the color diagrams? I need to find the larger version that are a little clearer.
