Those are some surface trim covers I found on ebay that we wrapped and stuck. They don't wrap around the whole piece but I don't mind it.

Took forever to show up, but here you go! i if you do wrap them, make sure to use an adhesion promoter or primer to make the edges stick. Stainless can be tricky to wrap.

That looks really good! I'm not that good at vinyl wrapping so I just painted over mine! Trucks look great!

You're looking for Oracal 196 - Night Blue (Metallic) film. Its a freaking spot on match. The guy that helped me said that in 15 years of wrapping he's never seen a match that close.

Jesus I only had the one grill so far.. but three?! If it was just the grill I wouldnt care as Im not using it (just need the surround) but the stupid paper-thin screw tab snapped off as well. Pain in my arse. I have time as I have to wait for the bumpers to get painted but just the fact that I have to dick with the return process and all that sucks.

I'd specifically request that they ship it UPS. You get more reliable tracking and generally less abuse. Worked in a warehouse for years, and UPS is always better.
Also, if you can, use a commercial address. They seem to beat shit up less when it's going to a business. I think they just have their better drivers on those routes.

 

Did you have to take apart the dash or center console to run the wires across from the driver side?

 

No, you just run the wires behind the dash near the gas pedal. You do need to drop a small panel on the passenger side, but it only takes a minute. If you go to VLEDS website it has all the installation instructions. Hope this helps.

If Sparks won’t replace it, and if it’s just a crack, you should be able to repair it.

Here’s what I’ve done in years past and seems to work really well. Also, there’s a few YT vids out there on these methods.

Super glue inside the crack, then spread the bit that squeezes out over the surface of the crack. Then while the glue is still wet, sprinkle some baking soda over the top and it will instantly start to harden the super glue.
Let it set up/cure a few hours, then you can use a soldering iron with a flat tip to ‘weld’ the crack from one side to the other. (Watch out for any of the fumes and don’t breathe them in). From there you can use the soldering iron and a piece of metal screen as a mesh bandage, and melt it into/over the crack. If you need more plastic to cover the crack/ mesh, you can use a heavy zip tie (as the extra plastic) to melt over the crack.

I’ve repaired several plastic pieces through the years using this method.

Which Silver are your trying to de-silver? You can get a black piece to replace the silver on the steering wheel as well as the silver for the two middle vents that goes around the stereo/climate controls...so the only silver left would be the climate controls and radio.

 

The black version of the center radio surround runs about $220 +shipping. I’ll probably just wrap it in matte black vinyl instead. Didn’t know the steering wheel trim pieces could be purchased in black.
