    2"CB shackles, bushings and 1 shim, lockerdown console vault, rear folding seat back mod, snugtop shell with opening side windows, 46g fuel tank, SDHQ sliders and hidden winch, Decked Drawers, Alcan leaf springs and got rid of the interior chrome
    I’m not really understanding what the need for this is. Your fuel pump might easily last 10 to 15 years. Cutting the hole in the bed compromises the paint and could allow dirt, dust, water, etc to drop onto the tank and various components. Please explain what I’m missing, what is the up side?

    the tanks so easy to drop.. i wouldnt worry about it. unless youre fixing a rotted out bed. theres no real need for this.

    Well since I'm upgrading to an Aeromotive 320 pump for the supercharger I figured that it was an easy thing to do since I'm already in there the first time.
    Tanks are easy to drop but I'm usually a 1 man show and I absolutely hated the process on my 4runner..
    Kinda turned me off to the job.
    Had to replace the pump 4 times in a month with just a stock Denso unit from Autozone... a long messed-up story that drove me crazy.

    I just figured I'd ask if anyone has done it before like the 4runner guys do.
    If not it's only like $30-$50 for better piece of mind.
    Plus I'm spraying my bed with rhino lining so it's an easy job to get a nice finish result.

    Never knew you could buy something like that. I think it's a good idea if it keeps you from dropping the tank or pulling the bed. Especially if you're going aftermarket and might need to service it again in the future.

    GM owners were well known for cutting an access door through the floorboards of certain vehicles because dropping the tank was a royal PITA. Measure twice, cut once.

    The OEM pump had enough juice to supply the OEM blower, so why ‘upgrade’?

    Is it possible that dropping the tank on the 4Runner is worse because it has less ground clearance than our trucks? I feel like I could use a floor jack, with a piece of lumber to stabilize, and easily lower the tank to the ground. It would help if it's close to empty.

    I already have “access” holes to my gas tank from the bed rust underneath my bedliner. Wasn’t my choice but good to know they have a purpose. :D

    Any particular reason for the aeromotive instead of a denso mk4 tt pump? The denso is actually a larger diameter and stouter feeling unit than the aeromotive/walbro sized pumps.
