After much debate and deliberation, I decided to go with the 6112 up front. I already have the TRD suspension which is the same shock as the 5100, with the only difference I could find is that the 5100 is height adjustable. If I am going to change the shocks/ struts, I want to increase the ride as well.

Not sure on install, waiting on top caps and the shackles for the rear. I am thinking 2" in the front and 1" in the rear but will probably be 2.5"/ 1.5"

Got the 5160's installed. Noticable difference in the ride. Have only had them in 2 days and I am extremely happy. 6112's are scheduled to go in Friday.

Had the 6112's installed last Friday. Very smooth ride. Set them on the second highest setting and it brought the front up 2".

I can't wait for all the snow to leave to give them a test.
    Also added some flags.

Truck gets to sit for a while as the family is headed to the west coast for the break.

Thanks, it was a lot of back and forth for me, but in the end I wanted a better ride along with some lift. Enjoy the new ride.

That sucks dude, I sprained my shoulder last August. Was in a sling for 3 weeks and took around 3 after that to get back to full-ish strength.

I've had BFGs ATs and later, the KO2s. They're great in so many conditions (and yes, quiet), and they run forever. Can't wait to see more of your build.Pro

So, I finally got my truck looking close to what I want. Bilstein 6112 and 5160's ride great. Middle setting has the truck sitting level. My family have been fostering 2 adorable little girls and looks like this is going to be a long term thing, which is great. The change that is coming is either trade my truck (it is only 1 ) or my wife's jeep wrangler (less than 1). My cousin has already agreed to buy my truck (with all the mods), so it looks like I am starting from scratch, again. Not sure if this good or bad, still undecided.

Here is a clean picture of my truck as it sits today.

I am trading my truck to a relative and getting a 2014 Limited Crew max. All of this is happening Saturday.
One of the first things I need to do is figure out 20" tires. I really like the BFG at KO2 but they don't come in 285/60/20, only Duratracs are that size and close to $100/ tire more.
Not looking forward to parting with my current truck but need the cab space. Funny how life changes so quickly.
