Surely your hardwire kit came with some sort of instructions and you have an idea or done some research on which to use?

If not, it's probably something you should have professional installed.

I have been eyeing this adapter, but I was wondering about draining the battery since the mirror is constantly hot?? Had any problems??

Nope, no issues with mine. It turns off when I turn the engine off.

Perfect! I am getting ready to pull the trigger on a dash cam next week. I guess this will be in my cart as well. Thanks for the update!

Looking at the Aukey duo with the capacitor for our high heat demands.

If you are tapping power at the harness right at the rear view mirror plug, then blue = positive and white with black stripe = negative

I bought this from your link and it is not compatible, my 2016 tundra has a 14-pin connector and the Amazon part is only a 12-pin connector. Anyone know of one that works with the Tundra? Maybe mine is different because it has the compass and HomeLink buttons?
