Have not seen or thought about cab visors since my last JC Whitney catalog!

Summit racing will have some as will leonards truck accessories

Please explain the function of a cab spoiler. It’s your truck and if you want to put one on your truck that’s cool and you don’t have to explain yourself to me but if there actually is a function to one, I’d like to know what it is. To me it just looks like something a demented teenager with too much money would do to his truck. Again, it’s your truck so do as you please.

Keep sun rays at bay while driving also a/c fan does’t have to work as hard because solar heat is reduced. Better vision is safer! It’s not a spoiler it’s a visor!

And it looks like the truck has a hat on!

I personally love these on more square bodied vehicles like Jeep Cherokees and old K5 Blazers, but I think the 3rd gen Tundra is too round and it would look funny. :monocle:

Some laughter and funny stuff to make some people happier is a beautiful thing these days. Too many people concerned with what others think of them. People trying to fit in and no individuality. I say screw the norm, be yourself, enjoy life! It is too short to please others folks!! Do or say what makes you happy those who care do not matter, those who matter do not care!

Just make sure to do make sure what you buy is quality! Too many posts on here of guys buying pure junk. It's your truck make it how you want it just don't cheap out. I kinda laughed when I saw JC Whitney, as a kid that was the best catalog of all. It was 99% garbage but looked cool.

You must have conveniently forgotten the actual "best catalog" from Fredericks of Hollywood!

Here's a picture.....it may block out some sun but sure it's not going to help with tundra's great gas mileage.
Not on my tundra and not even the slightest temptation to do so.

Yes, saw this, just taped on for a photo. If done completely and with cab clearance lights we could get a better idea. I have never said I was going this route, but I am curious and thought others might be as well. I do think different is good and a diversified group are members here. So why not explore visors for those who may want them. I also know gas mileage is a factor. Just not for me, I bought the Tundra to tow my tt in comfort with peace of mind, regardless of fuel cost. I worked oilfield for years and my wife still does. We know what it takes to make the gasoline and love to support the efforts and thanks to the rest of you who also support it. I love to laugh at electric car buyers who charge with electricity generated from natural gas power plants! Will I ever have a visor? Who knows, don't care about the looks of anything, function first always! Hell, if I knew the future I would most likely be looking at some investments other than truck accessories.

Sorry Dan didn't mean to hit a nerve.....diversity and different are all good , that in it self is why I am currently driving a Tundra. To most of us Tundra owners on here I don't think gas mileage was the biggest concern when purchasing a truck and in fact myself end many have reduced the mileage with larger tire's and other accessories.
I think most the Tundra's owners on here have done a great job of personalizing there trucks ....in both looks and function but of course that can always be debated. Not that I can predict the future in any way I do predict the gas and oil industries future isn't looking so great.....rumour has it the Tundra's nice 5.7 we have now future is over....replaced with something different.

But back to the visor my tundra came with the ones that you pull down right from the factory they work really well keeping the sun out. Ya hardly see them and they don't affect my gas mileage and nicely fold out of they way when the suns not out.

The end of the line for the 5.7 is another reason I bought my Tundra. Unless you ever actually owned and drove a truck with an exterior cab visor you would never fully understand the difference between that and your comparison of apples to oranges. The idea was born, it has also evolved a bit, and it does function nicely for those who take advantage of it. Does it appeal to everyone? No, but hey, no need to knock a good functional idea and compare apples to oranges just because you don't find it appealing. As for me, my truck will be used as a truck, if some good looks come with the package so be it. I do not care to draw eyes, in fact I much prefer they look the other way at the 6" lifted truck with the newest accessories driving into the local McDonalds. For that reason, I love that so many are all about looks before function. It is kinda like those living in a gated community. I can stay warm or cool and dry in my comfortable modern home with little worry because the real burglars are focused on what is behind the gates. Those living behind those gates don't need to live like that, they are just mostly looks before function people showing off wealth or in most cases huge debt. Just silly in my opinion! However, again I love them for drawing the attention away from me!
