NONE! Lasted about a month, Firestone bags, Decked system, ARE CX HD, WeatherTech mats/rainguards, TRD RSB...
Chalk up another one heading out there door! I was really just looking for a moment to pull the trigger. Easy decision with all the talk on here. And every time I'm driving now I can feel the roll. And notice all the big 3 trucks look like they come stock. For a reason. Plus I plan to get a TT. And I haul sh*t anytime I get a chance. Boom. Thanks boys!

Yea, I feel that roll at every turn. Didn’t have that with my Titan. Can’t have that...besides, has to help when towing my 6000# TT. My wife caught me checking the tracking (gets here Tues). She said “bought that bar didn’t you?” I just smiled. She doesn’t mind as long as I don’t spend it on other women.... hehe.

now, tough decision: match the axle (flat black) or the bar for the brackets....

Anyone put these on without a torque wrench to actually measure it? Can I just do this by feel or do I need go buy some new toys?

I’ve always heard that suspension components like this are one of the jobs you really need a torque wrench for. You want to make sure the bushings are all properly compressed.

Should have added that it’s probably not as critical as some of the front suspension connections. I’m sure you could get away without it, but I’d at least buy a cheap HF torque wrench for the job.

I agree with NCSkeeter. Also, without one you’ll have a hard time knowing when you’re really at the right torque when tightening the U bolts.

Yes...I had the TRD sway bar plus air bags on my '07 RCSB. What a difference in handling. I will note that I am very fond of a rigid ride with good cornering abilities.

So most on here are saying that the handling improves but I currently have the CB +2 shackles and Toytec Aluma 2.0 shocks in the rear and on certain stretches of concrete highway I’m getting a noticeable harmonic bounce (I guess it’s bed bounce?). Truck did it also before any suspension changes or tire changes so my question is will adding the rear sway bar amplify this issue or make it better. Mainly drive on city/highway and tow a 20’ Tahoe boat a few times a year. Appreciate any insight!

Just reinstalled my 1” shackles today. Also, I have the TRD Pro rear shocks. For all the benefits, I see that the RSB will contact the lowest leaf spring at almost full extension of the rear axle. Adding a shackle lift only makes this proportionately worse. While this is probably a “DUH” moment for all the suspension experts out there, I certainly wasn’t aware of this. A little disappointed TRD doesn’t advise buyers using their TRD Pro shocks about this problem with the RSB. You certainly don’t want these on your truck if you’re doing any serious off-roading. I’ll post pictures later.

It probably isn't quite the issue until something that isn't part of the factory Toyota suspension system is added. It's not really the shock nor the rear sway bar that's causing the contact, it's the shackles. I can't see how Toyota/TRD would feel responsible for notifying a Tundra owner that there might be interference when a product/item is added to the suspension that they don't support.

Here's my suspension fully drooped out. Contact may occur if I were to jump my truck, but probably not during side to side articulation as the sway bar impedes that motion.

As far as I understand, 3rd gen stock Tundras and TRD Pros have the same rear suspension components except for the Fox shocks. You’re right that My 1794 isn’t a Pro but the shock dimensions etc. should all be the same. I checked both stock and with 1” shackles and my RSB contacts the lowest leaf at fully extension regardless. Not sure why you don’t see the same. It seems anyone with a TRD Pro rear shock suspension could see the same problem using the RSB as I do.
By the way, adding shackles moves the leafs closer to the point of contact on the RSB.

I haven't measured the difference in extended length between stock/TRD OR/TRD PRO/Fox TRD PRO shocks, but I suspect that both variations of the PRO shocks have a greater extended length. Wheel/tire pairings may contribute to droop as well; heavier sets will droop more. My wheelset is a factory combination. I'm not able to tell if yours are just by looking at your avatar.

I have 295/70/R18s. Tires weigh 59 lbs. I think another difference is that I’m working off the floor with only one side at a time. This could cause contact while drooping both sides together may not. Of course, if any contact between the leafs/RSB occurs under any variation of side to side articulation, it’s not a good thing. I doubt stock shocks would allow enough droop to be a problem and this is probably only an issue with extended length shocks.

I have a stock size (275/55/R20), probably what your truck came with stock with it being a top-tier 1794. I have no clue what mine weigh though. The photos that I posted are with the both wheels off the ground at the same time. The only other thing that may be the difference in our experiences, would be the leaf springs themselves. The ones on your truck have a different part number from the ones on mine. This may suggest that there is some not immediately/obvious-to-the-naked-eye aspect of them that differs resulting in what we're finding.

If you take a floor jack and lift the frame on one side just to the point the rear wheel starts to lift off the floor I’ll bet you see the RSB interference I’m talking about. Really doubt the springs are the difference. The droop and contact I see are with no wheel installed. I’m not in a good place but will post photos later. Thanks for your comments.

I would say if you're doing serious offroading (or rock crawling, anyway), you don't want the RSB because it limits articulation.

Huh, I've not thought to do that. I will try this some time when the opportunity presents. My photos were with the wheels mounted. And likewise for the engaging discussion!

Sure. Guess my immediate reaction was just surprise. I certainly think the TRD RSB works great as intended, but it seems the TRD engineers would have allowed for adequate space around the leaf springs for full articulation when using it in combination with the TRD Pro or similar extended travel shocks.

I don't think that the usage of those two components together were intended to have any practical overlap. Kind of like low profile beadlock wheels. But yes, it would certainly be better if there wasn't any interference, and it is somewhat of a surprise.

Not sure. I can certainly see situations where I want the RSB for better handling and towing benefits but also don’t want things banging around when I’m on rough back roads hunting.

Given that's what most trucks are used for these days, especially Raptors and AT4s, definitely need to think carefully about the entire suspension system on your $80k mail crawler.

Anyone switched the main bar bushings to Poly bushings? Been looking but can’t find any.

I lucked out and got a lightly used RSB for free. Just had to pay shipping which was $75.

Can’t wait to get mine back from being Powder Coated.
I have a Barcelona Red truck and thought the two different reds would clash.
So I am having the RSB, front coil springs, and SDHQ ABS Sensor Cover color matched.
Hopefully that is not overdoing it.

The powder coat chip that pretty much disappeared when put up next to the truck was called Burnt Brown Red

Anyone have any input on whether the RSB improves bed bounce??
