I just stripped my drain plug last night. Do you think the 9034118060 will work as both the drain AND the fill plug?

    I wouldn't. Being a fill plug it probably doesn't have a magnet.

OK, so looking at your helpful Tacomaworld link and finding this one also A Front Diff Drain (and Fill) Plug that Doesn’t Suck – ADVENTURETACO what seems to be the best procedure is:

    - Front diff drain plug Lexus PN 90341-24016, and washer.
    - Front diff fill plug Lexus PN 90341-18060, and washer.

Also, PN 90341-A0002 works for the fill plug (Tacomaworld thread Front diff drain plug alternate OEM part | Page 5 | Tacoma World).

I dimly remember using the fill plug from a Tacoma manual trans many years ago on a 4Runner front diff fill plug, correct pitch.

I got a new one from sparks. Lesson learned it was a 5 dollar bolt but they charged me 20 dollars for shipping. I complained and they gave me 10 back. I started to strip mine and stopped. That top plug is a pain in the ass. What worked for me. Sprayed penetration oil on it let it sit for a bit. Don't know if this helped or not. Then I jacked the truck up on the front driver's side so I could maintain as close as possible 90 degree angle with my break bar. Then lowered for the draining and refill. Then jacked back up for torque.
