She's home! Man, what a rollercoaster. Ended up purchasing through Autonation Corpus Christi, and had the truck transferred to Houston Autonation Toyota. Paid MSRP and got some of the extras discounted, but effectively $60k OTD, which I was good with, when it was all said and done. Left a glowing review on a few sites for Mike Shaw Toyota, and even replied to the auto-generated emails from their Sales and General managers asking "What can we do to earn your business?", which I've heard nothing back from. So, if you know anyone car shopping in Corpus Christi, tell them avoid Mike Shaw Toyota at all costs :)

When the vehicle showed up the only hiccup in the deal was a check engine light. They kept the truck overnight, and found Pin #271 on bank 2 wasn't terminated properly, which threw a code for cam position sensor. I picked it up right at closing yesterday evening, so I was just given a quick rundown, but they said the sensors and all mechanical checks came out fine and they believe the issue to be fully resolved. I'll make sure it shows on the service history, but I don't anticipate any further issues. Worth noting, the brand new TRD Pro has now had a check engine light exactly as many times as my 2014 TSS Crewmax with 126k miles. The 2014 only threw a code when I was working through alternator voltage regulator issues about a month back.

Still on the hunt but I am seeing more coming out at msrp. (Thats already crazy, but worth it hopefully) I hope nobody is making a deal on marked up trucks thats just pure greed. Ihave found a couple far away at MSRP but if we can deal I will make a trip and go get one. Maybe especially when all these restrictions are lifted! Hope others are finding good deals and not getting wrapped up and bent over!

I think about that all the time, but from a business standpoint if they can sell a product of high demand for more its all profit.
That being said so far Toyota dealers have showed me greed, and poor customer service. Got me a little disappointed for the cost of business. Not all but most so far, even my best friends who own Toyota’s complain about dealer interaction. I wanna buy a product but Toyota is not doing itself any favors by looking the other way. Last stealership acted like they were doing me a favor on a marked up pro tundra.(come on buddy you deserve it just buy it!) I told him oh trust me I deserve it but I am not gonna get bent over the desk bud! Definitely would not have recommended a dealer after a purchase situation feeling raped after paying for an expensive new vehicle.

I bought a Platinum and dropped some Bilstein suspension under her. I have all the comforts like heated and cooled seats and the shocks weren't too much, def not as much as the Pros were marked up when I snagged my Platinum. Only draw back i see now is i am missing some of the armor the Pros come with.

I think production is catching back up, so expect another wave of deliveries in March and April. Purely speculation on my part based on watching the online PRO inventory for my area, but there seems to be a good bit arriving in that timeframe. My allocation is also scheduled to arrive in April. Unless you can find one at MSRP, I would wait a couple months and they should be slightly easier to locate.

When I was looking in December, about 6 or 7 dealerships told me they expected deliveries in Jan and were awaiting arrival. They couldn’t guarantee a date tho. I wasn’t interested in other colors at that time. None were LR

Speculating that he is referring to the Pro's, which were built on the SR5 platform in 2019 and past. Heated seats and dual climate controls were added in '20 when Toyota started building the Pro on the Limited platform.

Most don’t come factory that way, I did hear that vehicles up north on the pros did and even the limited, plat, or upgraded trucks had them installed. I was watching a few videos where 2019’s pro models were available with but not standard.(pretty sure they were mostly aftermarket/or installed after including heated seats etc.)

My buddy, and fellow Marine is a Mgr at a Toyota dealership in TN, and he tried to get me to 'settle' for a Tundra on the lot. Not even a TRD Pro, nor a color I wanted.. He told me there is no way we will find a voodoo blue Tundra TRD Pro in the state, and if we do, it will have something wrong with it. Boy, was he wrong as can be. I'd been looking for over two years for it, and within 3 days of him telling me that, I found this one 10 miles from his dealership, with under 17k miles, in excellent condition, and $5k under bluebook. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it either. I say keep looking, and be willing to drive a few hundred miles if that is what it takes.

If it had the winch in the front and Marine Corps decals front and back, it's quite likely it was us. We live Northeast of Nashville.

Didn’t notice that many details as that voodoo blue was in the opposite direction but I live in Arrington, just outside Franklin and am all over all the time. Just happened to see the voodoo blue one on 840. Figured there can’t be too many of them.

I guess I was lucky to get my 2020 AG TRD Pro in Feb. of 2020, pre-covid for $56,347, OTD. Love this thing to the moon. This and my 2012 FJ Cruiser will be with me for whatever time I have remaining. I'll be 70 in April of 2021.

I don’t think I would ever get over the fact that I took a massive porking on some serious price gouging. 60 plus or even pushing 70 is a total rip off for a PRO considering what you get. As much as I like it, I just couldn’t do it.
Paying MSRP would bug the shit out of me.
    To each their own.
