Do you know if the horn relocation will interfere with the AJT TSS relocation bracket? Reason I ask is because I want to change my grill and install a trans cooler. Thanks!

 

It will fit. You just wouldn't use the horn relocation bracket and I would have to provide you a shorter grounding cable.

Not yet, still deciding if I remove the "factory" rubber lines coming up off the hard lines and run the gates hose all the way to cooler OR if I leave "factory" rubber that are formed to make the 90° bend through the shroud and use 3/8 barbed or AN fittings to splice on the gates hose to connect to the cooler. My concern with running new line all the way is the 90° bend needed to come through the shroud ( possibly making it kink ) and the splice method makes 2 more connections per line for a potential leak....
Am I over thinking this simple install?

Setrab, Series 9, 15 row install photos. I am currently waiting on the back-ordered Setrab 45° fittings before I can ship the few kits I have.

 

I installed my kit yesterday. All went very well. I did make one adjustment though, i mounted the cooler to the bracket using 8 rubber mounts from Amazon to isolate vibration. Still plenty of clearance between the cooler and the grill on my 2019 Platinum. Stock grill with Hayden kit.

That's one thing the MHX and Setrab brackets have that most cooler brands, including the Hayden, don't offer.

 

The only down side to those mounts was that the blind hole is quite shallow only 8mm so I used a drop of 222 Loctite on the screws and M6 nyloc nuts on the studs. Studs to bracket M6 x 10 Socket screws holding cooler

 

Did you happen to take any pics of your install? I've been thinking of some way to use isolators on the b&m cooler I installed. Thanks.

 

Anyone out there with a 2011-2018 mind taking a few measurements and testing a horn location? I am trying to dial in the bracket for the 2011-2018 Tundra's however, I am afraid the bracket I have now will be too close to the Toyota hoses going to the condenser. My plan is to shift the bracket as far right as possible to alleviate this. I will need a measurement from the center bolt on the horn to the center cross member (line in red). I also am thinking of placing the horn on the center cross member as well. There is a hole (circled green) that may work but I am unsure if there will be enough slack for the horn cable.

Could someone tell me the distance between the condensor and the cooler bracket, I'd look but to lazy to pull my truck apart.

 

Which is a better cooler that will last longer, or just better built, the MHX or Setrab?

 

I'd say the MHX is a better quality and higher cooling capability. It is a fully welded design and is backed by a lifetime warranty. Setrab is used all over the world for racing and it a great product as well. You can't go wrong with either.

 

Were the haydens having issues?

 

No issues with the quality but by no means is it the same quality as the mhx or Setrab. I stopped offering their coolers because it is almost impossible to get ahold of their customer service. I am an approved dealer for Setrab and Improced Racing so parts are much easier to get and you can go through me for warranty work (if you ever need it).

 

Thanks. I just ordered a complete MHX kit. Don’t worry about a smaller ground cable like you mentioned earlier. I think I’m going with the 2020 pro grill or keeping my current one.
