This is the best place I have been able to find by talking to a lot of other local members. I went somewhere locally to me in Santa Cruz recently and my numbers are definitely not as good as I had hoped.

    Check them out =)

These guys are pretty good too. Got my Pro aligned a few months back and just recently purchased a set of Falkens for my 100 series with an alignment. Both cars now drive straight like arrows.

AI, as recommended by @SC_TRD is by far the best shop I've been to. These guys set up race cars so they know their sh**. They're the rare kind of shop that takes their time to make sure things are perfect. When you drive away the camber and toe will be the same side to side, not just "within spec."

Chris at Alignment Services in Walnut Creek does a great job. He's been doing alignments for over 30 years and is the shop that all of the local dealers and repair shops that don't have in-house alignments use. Chris knows how to do lifted trucks and will also do custom alignments.

I called them and they sound like they are closed for the pandemic.

Hmmm - that's too bad. It's a small shop - just the owner and a helper (I think) and the owner does the alignments. I called and the message did not sound like this was related to the recent stay at home order. (hope everything is ok for them soon.)

In the past I have taken my wife's car Big O Tires in Lafayette and they did a fine job for a stock suv. If your truck is not lifted you would probably be OK with one of the local shops (many offer warranties). If your truck is lifted then I would make the trek to AI.

I went to Big O Walnut Creek and my steering wheel is at 9 o’clock when driving straight. Guess I gotta go to AI.

Alignment is definitely an art form most retail chain stores don’t get right, that is just sad though

I have not had good luck with the Walnut Creek Big O Tires. Big O does give you a 6 month warranty - try taking the truck to Lafayette and have them fix it.

Just wanted to throw my 2c into this, I had my truck aligned/new tires (Defender LTX stock size) put on by Auto Innovations and am VERY happy with the work they did, and the tires are balanced to the point that the truck literally drives like its on glass. They've got a Road Force balancer and I think that has something to do with the balancing. Overall, extremely happy with the work they did.

For those of you who tried calling Chris at Alignment Services, he was closed for a while not due to COVID but personal health issues.
He has reopened, and is doing half days as he ramps back up. He is a master at what he does, highly recommended.
