your new toolbox looks pretty nice, is it compatible with toyota’s deck rail system in place?

Have you had a chance to test the toolbox yet with the new rail system yet? I am considering one for my 2021 Tundra.

I bought one and installed it by my self yesterday in about 30 minutes on my 2013 DC. I meant to remove the rear bedrail to have that extra 1/4 to 1/8 inch for the Access Toolbox bed cover that I ordered too. But it installed perfectly fine with all three bed rails in place.

This box fit and I hooked the install clamps to the side rails. Box hangs over the edge of the plastic bed rail caps by about a half inch on both sides. Not a deal breaker for me and not sure if a metal box would not be over this edge by the exact same amount.

Can not believe that DECKED.COM does not market this thing for the fact that, unlike about every other toolbox, you can mount it right against the back of the bed. On most other toolboxes the lid would hit the window when you open it. This one opens straight up within the edge of the box.

Also my picture of the ladder is inaccurate. I did not notice until I took the picture and stood on the step and it moved. I realized that I did not lock the 3 steps in place. You can stand much higher on the steps and easily reach items in the bottom of the box.

I really like the box and tray that come with the box, nice touch. As in several other reviews, I have not been able to close it from the passenger side and have the driver side latch engage. I did remove the small piece of Styrofoam from the inside latch and it still will not completely close from one side. But you have to walk to the driver's side anyway to lock the box so for me it is not an issue.

I like having the ladder of the passenger side for when I have to access the box on the side of the road. Being on the passenger side it keeps me out of traffic.

It is a REALLY WELL BUILT/DESIGNED box. Watertight and will not rust or dent.

I ordered it and it was delivered within a week. YOU MUST BE HOME TO SIGN FOR AND INSPECT IT WHEN IT IS DELIVERED. I made contact with the shipping company and they delivered mine to my place of work.
