Better have pictures! If you live where it’s dry enough just leave the windows or doors open for a bit. Maybe pull a rocker plug and see what drains out. If we have rocker plugs.

Itll likely be in the channels under your door sills, they just pop right off

You need to pull the carpet up and look, you may need to completely remove it and let it dry out

Going that deep, I hope you had a rear diff breather kit installed. If not, you might want to check your rear diff fluid.

    Lots of shenanigans.
If you're gonna pull the carpet up, might as well buy some sound deadening mats and put them on the floorboard.

I got into some deep water today with my 19 Pro. Maybe a little over halfway up the tires for about 20 seconds. What are the odds I got water in?

Here's a pick of the rear diff breather port. It sits a bit above the rear axle, so if the water isn't over the axle isn't likely to get sucked in. For the short time and relatively shallow water you went through I would think you would be ok. If you are worried you can still check the fluid pretty easily, and if you plan to do similar activities you can get a rear diff breather relocation kit. Lots are available, and there are even DIY guides on the forum. Here's a DIY link that the pic came from. https://www.tundras.com/threads/diy-rear-differential-breather-mod.5253/

Yeah, I thought that would be really short-sighted of Toyota to have no drains on the sill chambers. I just checked my 2017. If he has a Gen3, he has rocker plugs...like every 9 inches on the bottom of the sill.

OP, you should pry out one of those plastic "caplugs" and see what drains out. If you've got water inside your rockers (sills), then you need to get it out. The interior steel is likely primed, and there might be some anti-rust treatment, but it definitely is not painted inside.

How deep did you go and for how long? And did you figure out where the water got in? That's alot of water to get in for you to hear it swishing.

Always measure with stick before driving in water. Drove across a washed out low water crossing once and found myself nearly dead in the middle of a river. One nice truck with bent rod and a crankcase full of chocolate milk. Was a 93 Ranger xlt 4x4 rc
