21' Army Green Sport

I've been. Searching hard and contacting dealers left and right that had or showed they had one. Every time they were spoken for already then I found one 3.5 hours away! Went to my local dealer, asked if they could get it. Sure enough they were willing to dealer trade the green limited. Next day they went and got it for me and honored the other dealerships price! Couldn't be happier. Traded my 2015 sr5 MGM. Just put about 500 miles on last weekend on an ice fishing trip which the new tundra saved my ass a few times. On the drive to the lake pulling a 6.5x17' fish house on the interstate ran into solid black ice. Driving at30 mph, wind was pushing me sideways causing some sliding in 4WD. Finally got to the lake then had to pull a buddy out stuck on the lake in the snow half ton chevy with a 22' tandem ice house. Here are some pics as always. Grizzly what size Exo Grapplers are those? Assuming stock height? How do they preform in snow/ice?

They are 275/60R20. Have been exceptional in the snow and ice so far. Way better than my KO2 or duratracks I had. They are also 3 peak rated where the ridge grapplers are not. Yes it is stock height with no rubbing.

 

Im surprised how aggressively they priced with so much discount, dealers over here in texas doesnt have any army greens and if they get any they dont budge off msrp and they dnt last a day on msrp

Exos are extremely tough tires. They should be—they are heavier than just about every other AT. A friend of mine has only run Exos on his 2500HD GMC. He swears by them. I love my Duratracs, but if I go through them too quickly, I’ll probably swap to Exo grapplers.

 

WWWHHHAAATTT!!! I live 40 miles from st cloud and was in negotiations for the Barcelona red SX I just bought on Saturday. The army green sport was my #1 choice but I gave up on the search. If I had known they had one I would have swooped it up. Ironically I had to go to north dakota to get my truck lol

I was in multiple negotiations and one dealership kept telling me there was one in transit...come to find out it wasn't even to them just another dealership and they were going to try get it(which was already spoken for, all 3 of them) Long story short they were pushy and I walked. St. Cloud had one on their website, called it was available. Went to my local dealership asked if they were willing to get it/dealer trade a green limited they had. They went and got it the next day!

I wanted one of these as well. My dealer of 6 years and 10 cars said he had one in a 1794. (Exactly the truck I wanted) I drove 70 miles to buy it and when I got there he said he couldn't sell it as it was the owner's son's truck (Used Car Manager) and didn't want to sell it. He figured I would buy another truck. Highly PO'd. I left in a huff and bought a white 1794 (I live on a gravel road) and love it to death. It is truly a very cool truck.

 

bait and switch, they tell you comon in we have it and then lame excuses and ohh we have all these other great trucks look at them. hate those games

 

The problem is I have bought a ton of Toyotas from them. I told them when I bought my last car, they took my business for granted. Well, now they will get none of it.

 

To be honest, they dnt care its all about making sales and profit to them. loyalty means nothing to these salesmen. same reason i always call and look around, never trust one dealership even though i have been getting great deals at one everytime i buy but still cross check their honesty

That is an unfortunate poor business practice. I would encourage you to consider writing a review on Yelp and Google sharing this experience and providing a current rating based on said experience? I make the same recommendations when folks have good experiences. Sales Managers at dealers need to know and hear the things their staff is doing (good & bad). Glad you are enjoying the new ride.
