I was hoping to remove the front grill on a 2019 for a few days to paint the chrome surround but since the truck is my daily driver I was wondering if disconnecting the Toyota emblem center grill safety sensor and driving the truck am I going to get a crazy amount of dash lights and permanent codes that only Toyota will be able to clear or when I put everything back together will all be OK?

You will get a crazy bunch of lights and errors.

Why not take it off the grill and zip tie it to a horn bracket?

Fuel delete mod Cup holder upgrade
It will throw a code while the sensor is disconnected. The next time I started my truck with the sensor reconnected the code was cleared.

I had unhooked mine on my 2019 to install in a TRD PRO 2018 grill with AJT relocation bracket and after I put it back together never received a single light, beeper, warning, nothing..

Thanks guys for the info. Was just more worried about one of those trip-to-dealer only codes.
