I hear ya. With all the list pricing and add-ons they quoted me, I see how they paid for a Spa and fancy dining area in the "stealership" where I bought mine..

HAHAHA, WOW. I’m tempted to hit up my local ship just to see how badly they’d mark it up.

TRD rear sway bar was a Great addition and doing the front TRD sway bar made it perfect. I drive curvy roads to n from work everyday and I love the added stability in the curves. No real noticeable stiffness either.

I had my dealer install mine and I think it was $310 out the door. Sure I could've saved a few bucks doing it myself but my service department does decent work and I didnt feel like rolling around in the dirt.

Like everyone else there was a noticeable difference in cornering and a huge difference with 7500#'s of Jayco behind it.

Good to know as far as towing a travel trailer. I got the TRD bars with the intention of getting a 25' - 28' in the near future.

I think I paid $200 for the RSB on Amazon. Everything arrived well packed. Puts a smile on my face every time I roll onto the throttle going around a curve.

Did both on my 21, did have one mod for the rear install. Trimmed the bracket on the rear so I could line up the brackets. 20210101_140535.jpg 20210101_142433.jpg 20210101_151444.jpg

Tell me about it.... bought my 2020 Tundra in July of 2020 from a Toyota dealership that my Mom's best friend's husband is a desk Manager at. During the 1 month I was waiting for the truck, I was told I would get a few freebies like Tonneau cover, predator steps, and something else. When the day came to sign papers, I asked about adding the items and the sales person came back and all of the items I thought I was gonna get hooked up with were all marked well above normal MSRP. Sales person said employees dont even get discounts on parts. I declined the add ons and bought the truck anyways. Whays funny is the original sales person who had been in contact with me for the past month had passed me along to a "senior salesman" because he was busy that day. The original salesman later told me if I ever need any parts for my truck I can use his discount which totally contradicted what the senior salesman said when I bought the truck.

Later on I found out the senior salesman is actually best friends with the desk Manager who again is a very close family friend. So yeah, them dealerships are damn greedy.

There is some "small print" on the free shipping. It only applies to certain package sizes and what they think isn't an irregular part. For example, I just looked around for the cheapest bed rail kit for a short crewmax bed. It did not include free shipping. I called them to confirm no free shipping since I thought it was inside of their package size requirement. They then told me bed rails was an irregular sized package so I had to pay the ransom for shipping. I was hoping based on what I read for the sway bar I'd get free shipping. Nope.

That's strange as I just ordered and received my RSB from McGeorge Toyota online site and shipping was free - using the "FREESHIP" code at checkout.

Does the sway bar reduce ground clearance? Looks to be a smidge higher than rear transfer case. Cannot tell for sure. Thanks

If that’s something you’re worried about, it might not be for you. The RSB will reduce articulation capability drastically. So if ground clearance is a big priority, and you still want the RSB for on-road stability, you may take some measures to plan on removing it prior to heavy off-road use.

On level ground, mine looks to sit about 1/2" lower than the rear diff. case. The RSB adds extra "stuff" to get hung-up and caught on things, so guessing it's not the best option for serious off-roading. I put mine on for improved trailering and highway handling.

Like everyone else has said, do it. I love the feel of my truck with the rear sway bar. Much more planted in turns at speed.

I'm too lazy to search. Was the front sway bar hard to install?

I watched a YouTube video and it doesn’t look bad. Front skid has to come off so I’ve thought about doing it at the next oil change. I’ll see how just the rear is first.

I really liked the TRD sport ride, but got the 1794 mostly for the folding mirrors.

Since I have the same wheels and tires as the sport, I’m wondering the % contribution of the rear bar, front bar, and shocks to the difference in ride. I’m hoping the rear bar is the biggest contributor.

I'm probably a dumba$$ and paid too much when there are less expensive options, but I wanted to stick with OEM parts and installed the TRD Pro suspension on my 1794 CM. I can say without a doubt it made a huge improvement in the ride along with going from 20" to 18" wheels and new 295/70/R18 tires. I can't tell any ride improvement and don't expect the RSB to do much more than the expected handling/cornering improvement and towing sway reduction.

Front sway bar took me about 30-45 minutes to remove old one and install the new one. Doing it on my back in the driveway.

I installed one on my TRD Pro this past weekend. Zero increase in NVH that I can notice and a huge improvement in handling (reduction in body roll).

    More than a few.....
Front sway bar is almost as easy as the rear, there is just a few more steps due to the skid plate and relocating the hardware from the stock sway bar to the trd one.

    nice!!
I’ve been holding off because somewhere on the forum I read that it counters the Fox shocks and makes the ride crappier.
