So the one time I took my truck to a wash I suspect they sprayed some cheap tire shine and it dripped all over my rims. Now I'm finally washing it again and it looks like the shine they used has caused some reaction to the coat on the rim. I can't scrub it off. Anyone knows a solution? No big deal if not. I used to baby my truck but now it's just a truck and serves it's purpose. A the end of the day, it's only superficial. Thanks in advance.

Nevermind. After seeing how tacky it is, I decided to get a rag with some motor oil and it rubbed right off.

debadged, diamondback, window tint, dirty deeds exhaust.
I had the same issue with a car. Took it in and next day after car wash it looked like scratches in the paint. Took it back to the car wash and it was the cleaning solvent the used had not been cleaned off. It even felt felt like scratches and grooves but the manager had seen it before.

I give you credit, I would have never thought of using motor oil.

Lesson learned, don't use a car wash. There is a good thread on how to use a coin op car wash and do it yourself with your own supplies.

BTW: Your Brake dust embedded in rim title...do you need help there too?
