Are you able to reach the clutch lever? Hard to tell from the picture. The Tundra is really pushing the capacities of an 8000 pound winch (I know you didn’t ask for my opinion). Otherwise the location should work.

I clocked my Warn 12k so that the clutch handle is right there when you place your hand inside and not up on the top. This way I don’t have to reach way up there at an angle in some weird situation. If you leave it at the top position it is doable but awkward. You are correct that 8000lb winch rating is not ideal per the mathematical formula people use to determine what winch to use. Snatch blocks “can” help in some cases.

@Zero One Actual did you, or anyone else, that mounted a 12k winch need to relocate the solenoid or will it fit as installed?

Good question, my bumper is sitting at powdercoat and my Zeon 12S is sitting in the garage. I ordered the relocation kit just in case.

Nevermind. Found an existing thread and it looks like everything should work without any relocation.

I have the Warn VR EVO 12K and it dropped right on there with zero issues and no relocation kit necessary. I do not know about the Zeon series though since I do not own it.

Anyone ever use the Smitty Bilt XRC 12k on the C4 bumpers or in general?

Umm, no it needs to get higher to leave an opening for sensors and protect the radiator with some tubing in vertical or angled positions too. If I pay big $$, I want serious benefits! Not just cool looks!

Precisely why many companies make hoops optional. I’m just making a point that manufacturers should give more options to offer more radiator protection for those who reside where the 4 legged deers are in abundance.

some reside where the fine 2 legged variety are in abundance and a good looking truck is more important than a well protected truck. Just sayin bumper designs need to be made available to capture the entire market. There are "dear" catchers, and then there are "deer" catchers. I have got my dear, and dont want a deer in my radiator!

SS3 ALMOST fit the holes. The height and width is there, the corners are just a bit more squared off than the BD

Do you think it's close enough to grind off a tiny bit? I will be trying to do the same for my SS3 Pros, don't wanna give em up.

Ahhhh I am going to mount mine right behind the bumper. Lens fits the hole, just the case doesn't. I'll post as I do it. Maybe tomorrow depending on work schedule

    I wouldn't grind the case

To those who have the hybrid bumper, where all you guys hide or place all the lights wiring? I’m still waiting for BD to ship my 2 lights and want to ask any pointers or good tips to place it.

How far off are the mounting brackets? Could you send a picture of the front with the SS3 on it?

I ordered the hybrid with late feb delivery date....got the full height bull bar and after talking to c4 decided to get the gen 3 12k smittybilt. I already had a 30 inch light bar and some BD squadrons so I was going to order xl 80's s2 pro's and lp9's for the top. I have a pro grill so I am expecting tss to work according to c4....Now for the suspension. I have 295/70/18's on 5100'0s on factory coils on the mid settings with two shims on driver side one on the passenger side with a +2 shackle in the back. After talking to Dave at CBuilder decided to do 2.5 coilovers in front with 2.0's in back with +3 shackle.....Was this absolutely necessary? Maybe not if I had jacked the bilstiens up to the top setting. I'm kind of a BD junkie...here is my current you can see me from space look now.

Could you get the round bezels and set the light back a little? It’ll fill the hole visually, and have minimal impact to light output... :notsure:
